I have a heater in my apartment that has been acting up.
I have been waiting for hours for the Maintenance guy to come & look at it.
This will be the 4th visit & it's still not running right.
I hate waiting for repair people.

I am not sure what this smiley stands for but it fits how I feel right now.

Thanks Rigel.

Here's here right now...I'll report what happened when he leaves.

Your are right Rigel...the board magic is very strong today.

I had a new maintenance man this afternoon. He recharged my heating/air system with freeon. It's working now but may have a small leak somewhere. If it poops out again...I will ask for the good repair guy and you Rigel, for board magic.

Whenever delivery or repair people come to my house, the estimated time is always "sometime between 8 am and 5pm"

Exactly...I waited most of the day for him. He finally arrived a little after 3PM.
I felt like I was being held prisoner by an invisible repair person.

Oh Lei, I totally know that feeling!! I'm glad he arrived in the end though and got your heater fixed! I hope it stays that way for you!

I've had a few weeks of waiting and waiting for maintenance guys, fridge repair man etc! I'm having a bit of a week of it right now - The maintenance guys have to come back to fix and replace my basins (but they said they will let me know the day before they come) and I'm also waiting for new sofas - which I haven't got a clue when they'll arrive!

Have you noticed that when you wait, you can't seem to get anything done!!

Yesterday, I spent most of my time, while waiting for the repair guy, goofing around on TCS.
At least I was enjoying myself.

The funny thing is...a heat wave begins in my area today. It is supposed to be at least 90 degrees, with hot winds blowing.

I thinks it's the old "wash your car & it will rain" syndrome.

That's true that you could have fun!
I tend to be up and down to the window everythime I hear a van....yet everything sounds like a van when you're waiting for one!

It certainly is one of those things, isn't it?! I bet you couldn't belive it when you heard that you were getting a heat wave!

I can see that I am definitely not the only person that has been stuck a home repair time warp.
The heat wave thing cracked me up. Our humidity is supposed to be below 10 % today. That's really dry.
