Did anyone watch the Amazing Race last night? I was in awe of the huge figure of Christ, the Redeemer. It seemed as if no one was looking at it or Sugarloaf Mt. as the landmarks they are, but they probably did. What a shame to have just that little bit of time. Wasn't it nice to see how sweet the daughter was to her mom after they lost? She appreciated the try. (I don't think I could have repelled down that cliff at the daughter's age, let alone the mom's!):paranoid3

I watched it, and was also amazed at the sight in Rio de Jeniero. What a beautiful place!!!!!!
I thought the grannies would get eliminated first, I was surprised it was the mom/daughter team!!!!!!!

I watched this on and off. So I only caught bits and pieces of it, but I to was SO impressed with the daughter of the mother/daughter team. She handled herself with grace and maturity. She should be so proud of how she acted. What a special young lady! I was really blown away by her.

It actually is a good show to watch for dynamics of people. They drop the teams off in a remote location, they are given some money and clues of where they need to go next and then they are on their own so to speak. Along the way there are check points they need to go to, and they have places where it is mandatory rest periods. It was a good first Amazing Race and after watching last nights episode, this one looks good as well. I was pulling for the mother daughter team because together they had so much strength but when mom got caught up in all those repel ropes they lost a lot of time.

How about those flying Grannies? I can't believe it. They can't run, but they certainly can fly!

I love this show. I felt so sorry for the twins. Getting your achilles tendon run over must hurt & follow that by a sprained knee. That one twin (I can't tell them apart) must be in pain!

i have a hiding place
i saw it for the first time last night, i thought it was incredible, love watching them travel to those
different places, seeing everyone interact, and some of those teams are absolutely hilarious !

how long has this show been on?

what's so incredible is watching them make their way toward clues, you think you know who is going to
get there first and it changes constantly.

Blue, this is only the second series of the Amazing Race. Last fall the couples were traveling in Europe, from Paris to Italy to Japan. The scenery then was also beautiful; that and the interaction between couples and their rivals makes the program fascinating to me. Relationships can change drastically, for better or worse. I like "reality" television, even though the critics don't.

Blue, I don't know what the "U" stands for. I checked the tv listings to see if it was local, but it's not. It's national. Sorry you missed it. Maybe someone else knows something.

Well, I guess the grannies were right about the brother and sister team, Paige and Blake. The other couples are all complaining about dirty tricks. I was a bit disappointed in this last episode. There are so many beautiful sites in Thailand. I wonder why they weren't sent there? I think the scenery and landmarks are two of the best features of the program.

Blue, UPN is a local channel here in Massachusetts, its channel 38 for us. Perhaps you have an equivalent there. I don't know what it stands for though. Sorry, probably not too much help, huh???
