I'm trying to adopt another Bengal.

I went to the California Bengal Rescue site, and there is a 3 year old neutered male purebred Bengal that needs a home, and I'm applying for him. I think it would be good for Simba to have a Bengal playmate, as he plays too rough and too much for my Siamese cats, especially Shane. Hopefully, if I have another Bengal, Simba will have another cat with his same energy level. I'm hoping this works out for me and for Simba. I've never had good luck with Rescue organizations in the past. However, in the past when I tried to adopt a Bengal they kept refusing to consider me, because I had never had a Bengal before. Now, that I have over 2 years experience with a Bengal, maybe things will go differently for me. They say he may have a heart murmer, but that he's playful and high energy. Apparently this boy's original owner just dropped him off at the shelter, even though he's a purebred, and Bengal rescue was there to take him out of the shelter. This is a boy, that really needs a home, and I think he'd be a great asset to my home, and to Simba's life, and to Shane's life as well for that matter.

What a gorgeous Hunk I read the ad, and he's got such a gorgeous coat & the description sounds EXACTLY like what Simba needs I am hoping and praying that Ziggy gets to come home to you very, very soon!

How could anyone ditch such a handsome boy?

I too look at the bengal rescue alot but so far no one that screams bring me home

I've already talked to one of the ladies on the phone. She sounded pretty positive to me, next I have to talk to the actual Foster care person, who actually has the cat. I hope it works out, but if it doesn't, I'll stay positive.

I know what you mean about Simba needing a cat with the same energy level. My Bengal Zeke is CRAZY. I was just watching him jump at the ceiling because there is a fly there. Ummm... Now he is knocking glasses(plastic thank goodness) out of the sink. All the while screaming his head off to anyone who will listen. A couple of minutes ago we had to chase him around the yard because he snuck out while Dave was trying to put a new window in. He jumped out the window. Luckily he answers when I call him if I have his favorite feather toy with me.


Bengals need special owners, that's for sure. But we sure do love them don't we?

I can't wait to hear if your new boy will be coming home with you. Sounds like it is a perfect match for both of you.

We got a Chausie (Jesse James) for Zeke to play with because he was and still is tormenting Savannah. It helps a little but I still think Savannah would be better off with someone who would allow her to be the Princess she knows she is.

Okay now Zeke is on the counter...... and now he is off to "chase" leaves through the sliding glass door.....

Is Simba as nuts as Zeke? We call Zeke "Zeke the Geek". He can be such a pain in the *** sometimes but it makes me love him even more. He is my problem child
