I thought I would make a quick post. Ginger is still sick, and we still don't know what is going on. I wish I could just wave a wand and make blood test results come much faster. I'm experiencing too many emotions all over again like with my Stabby and Teeny when I lost them. Ginger is mostly having to be fed with the high cal food and syringe, though he follows us around in the kitchen mewing like he is hungry and wants to eat. He's still drinking water...he got sick a few times lately, and his temp finally hit normal at one point but now keeps fluctuating back up to 103 (but not much higher). We were so happy when he read normal, but....We don't know is this a good thing that it hit normal and doesn't go back up to 104 or is it still bad he's running temp on and off? He's still on Baytril and appetite pills. We're taking him back to vet tomorrow looks like to have them check back on the mass they think they felt near his belly. We may have to do ultrasound (which is very expensive) but it would tell us if he does indeed have any masses anywhere and what might be going on with that. I have so much school work and I haven't even touched it I've been so busy looking after Ginger and researching more about FIP. Please, anyone!!! if you know of any sites with more info please send them to me. I'm trying to learn everything I can about FIP. So have to wait for blood tests, to see if his white blood cell count is low, his protein levels are high, and if he tests positive for coronavirus. This should in all give us 94% idea if he has FIP or not. If he doesn't, I am just tearing my hair out why he is sick. I've never seen a cat make it this far and still be running around, sunning himself, drinking water, going potty....I am just confused and keep telling myself he must not have it if it's made it this far...but is 3 weeks quite a feat if he does have FIP...or am I just kidding myself?? We just don't know.......
