Thanks all.
Today the family pick out the funeral arrangements. We went shopping for something to wear. We all were at my Aunts house tring to carry on. It is hard though. Tomorrow some of my cousins and I are going to make a beautiful poster broad full all the great memories from pictures we have.
I try to carry on like normal but it is so hard.
I just can't get it out of my mind for a second. My cousin who is my age is also taking very hard. We are very close and I don't even know how to comfort him. He is also taking tranqualizers at this time. My aunt is still in shock, she zones out, and then will say hi to you like you just got there. I am praying she will be ok at the wake and funeral. I hope she doesn't colapse again, but I have a feeling she will.
Thanks for listening. I don't really have anyone to talk besides my family about this.

The poster board is a great idea. From experience I would say just try and be there to pick up the pieces of all the stuff that needs to get done that they can't get through - that will be a great help to them. Thinking of you...

I agree that making the poster board is such a wondeful idea. It is a great tribute to your uncle and I think it really helps bring the family closer together. It is amazing how much comfort something like that can bring to not just you, but others who come to the funeral.

My prayers will be with you and your family.

Thank you!!! My aunt looked at the pictures I brought for the board, and she loved them. She had stories for every one.
I am so exusted as is the rest of the family. I just got home, and I can't relax. I have been running for almost a week now, and the worst is yet to come...
The funeral!

I know you think that's the worst, but I found my dad's funeral to be incredibly cathartic - I felt very good afterward. It really does help to bring closure. You'll be exhausted, but I think it will be a better exhausted than just running around exhausted.
hope it goes ok...

I agree with you Kim - I find the funeral, although a little overwhelming, a good closure. We will all be thinking of you Erin

Erin may your dear uncle rest in peace. I can only say that now he is no longer suffering, although you will all miss him terribly.

Life hasn't been easy for you lately, has it my dear?? Well, they say trouble comes in threes - things will soon look up for you, I suspect.

I will never forget what my cousin said to me at my Mom's wake. She said that she had heard that tears cleanse the soul, and that she must have a really clean soul. It helped so much just to know we were in this together.

The funeral will be a comfort to you all. It is probably the worst thing your Aunt has to go through, and yet it is a time for her to hear and see that everyone else loved her husband, too. I know you feel as if you are spent with all your grief, but you are wonderful to be there to support the family.

Condolences on the loss of your beloved Uncle. Prayers for you and your family at this difficult time!
