My dad actually drowned a couple of kittens when he was a kid *no older than 12, he tells me. Even though we have discussed it several times, and he did it because his father told him to, I still want to painfully pluck every hair out of his head for it (when I think about it). Sorry to admit it, but I don't think I will ever forgive my dad fully for that - he has kitty blood on his hands.

Now, my parents have two outdoor and two indoor cats, and my dad loves them so much. I think (hope) that it's repairing his karma.

Oh come on!!!
What are people thinking these days???
Those poor helpless cats.
And those poor kids.
I pray for the kids and I pray that the woman gets what she needs. HELP!

OMG How terrible...
And what next....the kids?????

I shouldn't have even read that. It makes me soooo mad. Blueberrybeth, I just found out this past week that a man I really respected allowed a kitten to be eaten alive by fleas. He said this was several years ago and the kitten was making these horrible howling noises, which he couldn't stand to hear- so he put her outside to die instead of taking her to the vet. It just made me so sick. Apparently my dad also tortured and killed cats when he was younger. He was very abusive to my mom and brother at the time, so it's no real suprise. He now has a cat and it just worries me- even though it's a good 25 years later. I can commiserate with you.

Hearing stuff like that makes me so angry! a person like that should not even speak of god and try and use that as an excuse!. She's demented and that's all there is to it!

Wow...

What's really disgusting to me (aside from killing the cats when she could have taken them to a shelter for a chance at adoption or at least a humane death ), is that she ordered her kids to do it. If she wanted to be so cruel as to drown the poor cats, she should have at least had the guts to do it herself, instead of making her children a party to it!

That is absolutly horrible.... ....

But i have a question...why is a 19 year old hangingout with a 14 and 10 year old...i found that very bizzare.....

Instead, why don't we just drown freaks like that woman and clean up the gene pool...

I could only read up to where she told them how to do the horrible deed

I hope she gets payback for this

I want to know why she thought killing them was her only option, or was somehow better than taking them to the shelter or even letting them outside. She's nuts... I feel so sorry for her children, and I hope hope hope that they don't grow up messed up because of this or whatever else that nut is doing to them.

RIP little kitties.

that is a very good point.

not just a 19 year old, a 19 year old who had no problem harming defenceless creatures. not someone you would want around your kids thats for sure.

people like her make me sick. i feel sorry or her kids as i have found those who have no compassion for animal life tend to have little respect for human life.

There is a wealth of statistical evidence that proves this point. That's yet another reason why people like that should have the book thrown at them. Unfortunately most only get a slap on the wrist. That will change!

And her 10 year-old son "was especially truamatized"... Oh, how I pray that this woman doesn't reap her karma via her grandchildren - can you imagine the type of parent she is raising her 16yo to be??? Those poor children, to have the family pets murdered by their mom & older brother & "friend" - how could they ever stand to live with such monsters!!!! And, unfortunately, this is probably only the tip of the iceburg of what this family lived with...

AUGHHHHHH That makes me really sick to the stomach!!!!! someone should give her back to the devil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RIP sweet kitties

You really bring up a great point (btw, I could not read the article either...just the title made me sick). If someone- anyone- can hurt, torture, and/or kill any defeneseless animals, they are extremely prone to committing acts of domestic violence and child abuse.

Not to mention something like 90% of serial killers tortured and killed pets as children. Animal abuse is part of the triad of sociopathy.

Those poor defenseless little kitties That evil, evil woman should never be allowed to own another animal again! And her poor children, I can just imagine what they must go through if they are being a "nusiance" (sp?) one day?!?

This whole story is disturbing, but what bothers me the most is that her 14 year old and the 19 year old were just okay about the whole thing. Its starts with animals, next, its humans.

There was this girl when I started high school, and she was into the goth thing which was fine, whatever, not my thing, but one day at lunch she was talking about how she had tortured a cat and did unspeakable things to that poor cat. And I remember looking at her like she was from another planet...it still bothers me to this day. I don't know, I like to hope she was lying.

And you know what those boys will grow up to be? I'll tell you (not to hijack the thread or anything...) but last night, there was a group of deer crossing the road that I take to get to my house...apparently, a guy intentionally swerved and hit one of the babies and broke the front leg. My husband and a neighbor stopped and helped it get to the side of the road, where we called the sheriffs office. They ended up shooting it because it wouldnt survive and the bleeding suggested internal injuries. There was a lady who saw the man intentionally run the deer over and keep going, and the cop said that it wasn't a crime and he couldnt do anything about it, even if we had a description he couldnt do anything. And it bothered me...if you intentionally swerve to hit a deer that you clearly could have missed, what else would you purposefully kill?

I am glad that the mother and both boys are being charged, because thats just beyond cruel. I could not imagine looking at my seven cats, and saying "You are on my everlasting nerve, so I am going to drown you..." How could someone look at their sweet little faces and harm them? She is a trash bag and shame on her for reinforcing to those boys that murdering animals is acceptable.

Like I always say...let the punishment fit the crime!!!! If the punishment were the same as the crime this would be a different world we live in!

I could not have said it better.

The complete willingness of the children implies a lot about that household. watch those two boys, they are on a very bad road in this life. This type of cruelty to animals only leads to abuse of people in the future.

This is the reason that we should still have death by firing squad
post #26 of 29
Ok Im going to try and bite my tongue as I say this. But that bh should be wrapped in a towel and drowned! The 19yr old should be too! He knew better! As for the 14 yr old, I can't really say because with a mother like that, who knows how mentally disturbed this kid is! Gawd! Some people!

That's the only thing about this story that has made me laugh.

What a cowardly, revolting person that woman is. What's she gonna do when her kids get too much? Get someone to drown them??? Those poor children I can't believe she made them do that. Thank goodness they're being taken off her, and also that the local authorities are taking it as seriously as it deserves.

That has made me sick to my stomach.
