hi
i had a leather (or what looks like leather, could be man made) collar for my first cat that had a nice felt lining on the inside.
it buckled and there was an elastic section so that it could be gotten off in an emergency

i have googled and searched pet stores and so far i have not been able to find any collar like this

i esp like the soft lining on the inside of the collar, if it had different features from the orginal i suppose that would be ok, but it must be soft and fairly thin (i have cats with thick short necks)

any one have any suggestions??

i don't know where you can find the ones you're looking for... but i like Beastie Bands. they are soft & lightweight, cut to fit so very adjustable... & since Cable's managed to remove hers, i would say they're pretty safe as well. they come in many, many, many different colors & patterns. you can find them online at these places...
Here kitty kitty
Robbins pet care
Palmetto pet
here's a link to a pic of mine wearing them...

hope this helps!

I'll second the Beastie Band recommendation.

They have a soft, felt-like lining on the inside of the collar against the cat's skin. They're the only kind of collar that doesn't make Mr. Underfoot lose hair around his neck.

they're about 1/2 inch wide. they do cause Pixel problems; she hs a tendency to lose the hair right under her chin, & sometimes develop a little sore, so she is collarless - but the other two do, & Mouse did, just fine with them.
