Too Stupid To Live!

Did you watch Primetime last night? It is positively horrifying how stupid some people can be. In a nutshell, someone called a McDonald's restaurant in Mount Washington KY and impersonated a police officer. He persuaded the manager and some other people to humiliate and violate an 18 year old employee for several hours. How can anyone be stupid enough to think that a real police officer would tell them to do such terrible and illegal things.

That poor girl!!! That is horrible! I would never have gone through with such a thing, even if it WERE a real officer on the phone. That's way too fishy, why would an officer order someone to do such a thing over the phone? Stupid people!!!

I just loved how McDonald's actually had a section in their training manual for managers on how they should not do strip searches of employees. The manual said that it is likely a fraud if someone says they are a police officer and asks you to stripsearch an employee. I guess that manager just didn't think it was important to actually read her employer's rules and regulations. I can't believe that woman had the nerve to lie on national television several times- contradicting what was obviously happening on the video. And then to call her fiance in! That guy should be charged with child molestation. He raped that poor girl! It's just amazing to me how stupid people are.

I saw previews for the show, and that was enough to tick me off. I just watched the video on the site and it makes me SICK! Those stupid people!! That old pervert should be arrested...I know he couldn't have thought it made sense for him to watch her bend over and do jumping jacks naked.

I don't understand why she would even take her clothes off. I'd have told them to call the police. Every one of them that had anything to do with it should be arrested.

I should have saved my rant for this one! I don't care if McDonalds did or did not have that in the manual, isn't that just common sense? No police officer is going to CALL YOU and tell you to perform a strip search!!!!! They'll #%*& come over there are arrest her themselves! How could anyone fall for that?! And yes, the Nix fellow should definitely be arrested. The manager really IS an IDIOT (no need for me to edit this later), and the first guy who walked out was negligent because if he was that bothered by it he should have done something other than say "it's not my business", but there is NO WAY the Nix fellow could really continue to believe it was a cop on the other line given what he was asked to do. Nope, he just figured it was a great way to follow through with some real-life BDSM while having the excuse of "the cop on the phone told me to". Right. If he really thought the guy was a cop, then I'M an alien and my cat created the world. Three cheers for the maintenance man who not only refused to comply, but actually confronted the manager about it!

I have dial-up, so getting the video feed of the story would be impossible, so someone please tell me they didn't show that humiliating video to a national audience!

I agree that Nix used it as an excuse and was well aware that the person on the phone was not a cop. I suspect that Donna Summers knew it too. Nobody could be that d*** stupid.

They blurred out the nudity but, yes, they showed the video on national TV.

This reminds me of Yale University's Milgram Experiment, which is a test on how people are willing to follow authority even if the instructions are against the person's own belief.

The gist of the experiment was that the person would think that they are administrating electric shocks on another person, up to about 500 volts which would have been fatal. While all the persons involved were uncomfortable about 65% of the people carried on administrating the shock including the supposed fatal shock. This experiement has been carried out not just in the US and the rate of people obeying the order to carry out the fatal shock, at 65%, is generally the same across the world.

I think you can do a search for it for more information.

i cannot believe this. how in the world could you believe a police officer would ask you to strip search then sexually abuse someone?!

the manager should face sexual assault charges too for aiding and abetting her sicko of a fiance.

WOW - thats all I can really say.

Stupid??? No, but terribly perverted, YES!!! I agree with the others that it was a great way for Nix to get his "jollies" - who knows, but he was already in cahoots with the impersonator. Nobody made him do anything against his conscience!

You have got to be bleeping kidding me......

And whats baffeling is even though this was all started by some sicko making strange phone calls to Mcdonnalds all over the country..it doesnt change the bleeping fact that thesemorons complied, and that other perves even molested these poor girls.....

I am so glad that Nix guy is facing 35 years in prison....and the assistant manager what a moron she is...time to bleach out that gene pool...

The poor girl!!! No one in their right mind would actually believe that the police would call the restaurant and have the manager strip search someone. If I was this girl, I would sue the manager, her sicko boyfriend, the caller and McDonalds. She is scarred now for life.

I cried watching that story. That poor, scared girl. She is a remarkable and brave women, going on TV and telling her story. I have the utmost respect for her.

As far as her managers (especially that female manager they interviewed)....I hope they throw the book at them...hard. That girl was sexually assaulted and it was caught on camera- no disputing that!
