On Sat., Claire came and sat very close to me on the couch, then yesterday, she was curled up on a cushion by one of the radiators and she let me get very close to snuggle and give her kisses! We're making progress and I really love this sweet little girl!

Everyone is still getting along great, although Claire and I still have a ways to go in our relationship. For a while, it seemed like she was really warming up to me, but since right after Xmas she's been a little more skittish, so we're still taking it slow.
She and Peter were being incredibly cute the other night. They were both laying on the bed and she started grooming him. This went on for about ten minutes and he was loving it! I just love seeing them together!

This thread just makes me think of Simon and Sapphire and how they've been living together for a year now.... and still hate each others guts!!! most of the time there's an uneasy truce, but for some reason Simon will decide to be a brat and corner her and then it starts all over again. Simon just wants me all to himself and Sapphire just doesn't like anyone

Just had to share that Claire has been pretty affectionate during the past couple of weeks. She's been letting me pet her for longer periods of time and even cuddle her a little bit. Yesterday she even let my niece and nephew (ages 5 and 2) pet her a little bit, with me supervising, of course. There were small children in one of her previous homes, so that probably helped.
