A week from today, I will be attending my first ever cat show in San Francisco. Can someone give me a ballpark figure of what it costs to attend a show?

MA in NZ$ it is usually between $2-$10 for an adult. Not too expensive if it's just the one person attending, but it gets expensive if you have a whole family.

I hope you have a great time Mary Anne!

Usually you can find out online. The shows around here (in Raleigh) are about $4-6. In a bigger city it might be more. Just put in your location cat show and cfa or tica whichever it is into google and you should be able to find a flyer for the cat club putting on the show. Sometimes they will have a $1-2 coupon online too!

Hissy,

I see that I am a day late and a dollar short, but, for future reference, if it is a CFA show you are going to visit you should be able to get a brochure, most often with the price of spectator entry shown, here.

While I do not see a CFA show in San Francisco that day, perhaps you are referring to the fabulous San Mateo international show on 11/18-20. Here is an example of what you can get on the 'Net. The San Mateo show has a bunch of info, more than the usual, here.

All the best,

Jim

The regional shows around here are about $7. I go to look at the cat products on the market, talk to vendors and just do a quick walk thru with the cats. My favorites are the housecat section!

To go as a spectator and watch usually runs $5-10 a person (more/less).

To go and exhibit: Entry fee $30-50 (average per cat depending on # of rings).
If you want an extra 1/2 cage for one cat that's a few bucks more and if you want end of row benching its a few bucks more.

Then add in cost of your food, gas, and hotel (if you stay).

So for one cat you can average about $100 bucks.

Now if you have curtains made for the cages, that's more cost, but for a first time shower, you might want to just bring some towels with your cat supplies.
