At what age are the eyes the color they are going to be? Guzzler's eyes are still the nicest blue. They have changed to a shade other than the "baby" blue.

I think they can change anywhere from 8 weeks to 3 months!

Its the same with Portia!! She had the baby blues and now she has these wonderful deep blue eyes!!

How is Guzzler going? Any more pics?

Harley's used to be a really dark brown, but now they are a really light brown-they match his fur on his stomach now! They are so pretty, and they changed so fast!

anywhere between eight weeks and maybe as late as three/four months, maybe longer, varies on the breed type.

Guzzler is napping on me as I type. No more pics yet. I had to work the weekend.
He starts his baby shots the 19th. That way he surely will be 6 weeks.
We got him one of those carpet covered 2 story condo things Sunday evening. My daughter says he does use it for naps (when Nana is not here to lie around on).
We are going through the biting thing with him also. I hold him out away from me, so I can make eye contact, and tell him gently no no. Other kittens I have had did eventually out grow the biting.
We have not had many kittens though as everything that comes in here gets "fixed". I am one of those people that seem to find critters. One of my 4 dogs was a foster that I adopted, 2 more are fosters now and the other I adopted while on vacation.

I know what you mean!! They seem to be attracted to me!

What a cutie pie!!
Yeah, Portia is very bitey at the moment, but if I tell her No she will stop and move onto another part of the body until I stop saying No!!
I let her bite my hands because she is play fighting and as she doesn't have any siblings I need to teach her how to play and fight - So scratched up hands it is!!

Portia had her first shots the other week! And she didn't even squeak! She sure talks a lot though! And she has learnt to jump on the bed! Oh well, no more peaceful nights sleep for us!

Jane,
So you did not have to build her a ramp after all.

Guzzler has taken to getting in the recliner with hubby or almost anywhere he sees a still human.
We have been letting him have a little more run of the house though he is closely watched. The girls have smelled him over thoroughly a few times and then otherwise ignored him.

I looked back over my kitten photos and they had their true eye color during their 5th week. They all had olive/green eyes except for Smudgie who had one blue and one olive. You could see it at 5 weeks.

I built her a ramp out of pillows for a few days, but then she learnt to jump all the way when we would knock the ramp down so she couldn't bite us during the night!!!

I want to let Portia roam around in the house a little more but Diesel still thinks she must be eaten and bites her hard if he gets a chance. But I had her in the cat carrier last night so he could sniff around and when he'd put his paws through the bars, she would smack his paw!! Don't know if there were any claws in it though!

Thanks kluchetta. I hope what I am seeing means blue is "the" color. We are already in love but, I can picture him wearing blue softpaws to go with his blue eyes.

I would worry more about Princess with Guzzler. She is queen here and knows it. When they have met, I have been here. I pet her and tell her she is still Mommy's girl and other stuff so she won't feel like he is moving in on her.

Aw how sweet! Do you have any photos? Because you can tell by what color the eye reflects. If it reflects red, you've got a blue eyed cat. (Blue green means green or copper)

Let me know more what kind of shot you are needing to see and I will see if I can get him to work with us.

I have my truck driver at work to thank for the names. Guzzler is the brand name of the vacuum trucker the babies were found in under and CoalYard is the department we work for.

You don't need the "reflections" to be able to tell the colour of the eyes - you can tell he is going to keep his eye colour because of the colour of his coat. Goodness he is a beauty.

Reading the first few of your posts on this thread, I thought you had named Guzzler because of that picture of him with the grubby face in your signature - didn't realise it was after a vacuum cleaner! Lol!
