The local weather channels have been mentioning this for the past couple of day s and they were not joking. Gusts are up to 50mph!! In Door County Wisconsin (that's the "finger" part of the state) they are in a windy advisory with wind speeds of 60 mph. This is supposed to last until midnite.
All my time raking leaves and dumping them in the garden-well I keep on watching them. I am worried about our really tall (70 ft) dead tree in the front yard-I have some smaller branches down already. Since the wind is coming out of the northwest-they have travel advisories for two of the major hwys on the eastern side of the state. I know the fellow TCS'ers in Minnesota are experiencing it too.
Well just better to stay inside today (I'm ironing and sorting my craft fabrics
)!!

It's pretty windy here today too. But nothing compared to that!
Yikes!
Ours is just rattling the windows a little bit nothing to serious. But like you have have an old tree in yard that has needed trimming for months and now I'm sorry we've put it off. I hope none of the branches come down on my house or the neighbors.

The wind here in Wellington is always rattling our windows. You haven't experienced wind till you've come here. The minute you get off the plane you notice it!

Hope you keep safe though! Ironing and sorting things out sounds like a good idea!

Right now we are under a heavy snowfall advisory. We had a snow/rain mix last night and the wind is blowing about 40-50 mph. It's super ugly out there!!, and I was supposed to fly this morning. No way not in that!

My garden shed has a metal roof, Neil's workshop well is brand new so no probs there we re-roofed our house 3 yrs ago so ok too. My nieghbor's horse is standing out in the wind right now poor thing!! I see that I'm going have more raking too do which will help replace all those leaves blowing in my veg garden.

Windy in the Ohio Valley, too. It was yesterday as I piled leaves onto my front yard for the leaf pickup tomorrow AM...

... I betcha when I get home today, the leaves will be blown all over the place...

... I love the falling leaves and all but spending 2 hours getting leaves out of and off of everythang and then waking up and seeing you have another leaf-carpet waiting for you? Agh!

Your right! I live only 5 minutes from the Wisconsin boarder-by Rochester area-and its SO windy here today. I drove to work this AM and my car was shaking! ICK! Its so windy....40 + gusts here...now I could handle some snow to go along with this, then maybe I wouldn't be at work today!

The wind was 40mph when I was driving the two and a half hours to class today- mind you I drive a Hyundai Accent!! I was white knuckling it all the way. I hope it calms down tonight, but I heard there are more thunderstorms coming.

Yucky weather! I hope everyone has stayed safe! I don't care too much for wind and deffinately deffinately not snow!

Last year my co-worker picked me up whenever it snowed...now she's my boss so hopefully she'll still get me if it should look yucky!

Yes!!! It was VERY windy here in the Milwaukee area as well. I teach and we stayed inside for the afternoon and painted instead. It was REALLY cold and a number of kids didn't bring proper clothing.

We had to go to the airport today to drop off a kitten, and Nana got out of the car and her skirt just flew up over her head. It was so funny. I can't believe how windy it is here. No rain or anything though. I bet the washing I put out this morning is already dry!

Your poor Nana! You shouldn't laugh! At least not too much! Had the same thing happen to me once though!

I helped her pull it down though - lucky for her we were on a back alley of the airport and no one was around to see her pretty bloomers!
