Looking forward to it! We've got Gold section seating!
I haven't been in a mosh pit for almost 15 years.

I saw QOTSA already 2 years ago, and am looking to yet another show of Josh swinging those sexy hips.
Ahhhhh, the famous Homme butt-shake.... It should be illegal....

Be prepared, though, if you want to rock out during the Queens' set...you might get a NIN fan telling you to sit down. I love NIN, and most of their fans are cool, but for some reason they've just been giving the Queens down the road on this tour. At the Cleveland show, there were only 3 people in my section rocking out...me, my BF and some other chick. The jerks behind us elbowed my BF and told him to sit down.
Some of the people along the barricade seemed to be getting into it, though.

NIN puts on a heck of a show. Trent and Aaron (the guitar player) just beat the living crap out of each other, and don't miss a beat. It's great.

OHHH and you get to see Death From Above 1979, too!!! If you haven't heard them, you are in for a treat. Their CD is freakin' awesome.

You will not know what to do with yourself when you leave that arena, girl!!
So much rock, all in one place!!!

I was at the kick off show for the current tour in San Diego in September - the one that was stopped 10 songs into the NIN set because the drummer has a heart condition. We were bummed (but totally understood given the situation), but are very happy that they are coming back for a make-up concert on 11/20!
1.5 shows for the price of one! NIN was AWESOME. Such intensity and Trent looked great! Sobriety has done wonders for him. I told my husband he'd better hope I didn't run into Trent...

We were completely unimpressed with QOTSA. They were...jerks. I'd use another word if this wasn't a family site. The music was fine, but apparently the crowd didn't give the reaction QOTSA was expecting and they made it quite clear what they thought about that. I read in a local newspaper that it's unlikely QOTSA will be opening the make-up show, which is fine by me.

We liked Autolux, who was the first opening act at our show.

I am supposed to be doing stage photography for the 11/20 show so if you see somebody with a huge nikon rig in the pit try and not stomp me to death.

Yes, Josh did his duty all right!
QOTSA were AMAZING!!! I was one of the few people dancing in the stands (we had PLATINUM seats, Liz!), and I was on the end so nobody harrassed me. Besides, I would have told them to shove it they even tried.
I may not have seen NIN before, but I was a fan back before most of the crowd there tonight were out of elementary school.

As for NIN.... WOW!!! I was absolutely blown away. When Trent was singing "Something I can never have", I could almost feel the soul coming from him. It was incredible, and he looked incredible for his age! An amazing performance and I loved the lighting effects and interesting film thing going on. The view I had was unobstructed and clear as day, so I could see the bands clearly.

And yes, Death From Above 1979 are from right here in Toronto, so it was kind of cool to see a local act as part of the bill.

Okay, and I'm not the type to buy all the merchandise but I just couldn't part without a QOTSA pink top and a NIN black girl hoodie.

I cry every time I see him perform that song. Every time. It's so amazing live. Trent has such passion and intensity on stage. The only bad thing about seeing NIN live is that you MUST see it again - it's The Perfect Drug.

I'm glad you were able to experience it, Jenn! It's SO amazing! AND with a local act and one of your other favorite bands?!?! Pure heaven!

I too was blown over with emotion when he did that song as well.... It's as if he's singing from his soul.
And I wish they did play "The Perfect Drug"... that's one of my favourite NIN songs as well! But I still knew most of the songs anyway, so I was singing and dancing along.

Oh, I'm definitely hooked, Heidi. I'll be going to the next NIN show, most definitely.

I swear that half of the audience only knows "Closer" and "Hurt", because they weren't that lively otherwise.
Oh well, they don't know what they're missing and let's keep it that way.

I'm wearing my hot pink skull shirt right now, as a matter of fact.
hehe

Isn't NIN freaking amazing??? I had never seen them before this tour, either...and had heard some massive hype on how great they are live. I was not let down. Trent is an incredible performer and musician.

Are you going to be able to get to the "renegade" Queens show on Sunday?

Yeah, it's a cool shirt! I just HAD to have it too! Hot pink at that.

Yes, they were amazing. Absolutely! And yes, I will make it out to that show. I'll check out your PM again for details.

OMG you are so lucky! I have been a NIN fan for years and I really like QOTSA! I hope you have a great time! My favourite album is "Pretty Hate Machine" but Downward Spiral and With Teeth were really cool as well. When he was in London tickets sold out in like two minutes and the offices were selling tickets for like £300 each.
