This little girl gets sillier by the day! (More adorable, too!) Sophie has a new way of drinking her water. She puts her paw in the bowl, then licks the water off. This is only in HER bowl. In the dog's bowl, she still drinks normally. What a goof!

Paw in the bowl...

And lick...

And lick some more....

Then, collapse from all the hard work and look very cutely at Mommy....

In a state of insanity :)
My Chynna girl does the same thing sometimes to the point she is splashing the water out of whatever she is drinking out of at the time.
Anyone got a towel. Sophie is a beautiful cat. A peice of advice keep a towel or mop handy as this kind of drinking gets all over.

I thought Isabelle was weird for dipping her paws into water and licking them. I'm glad it's normal
Those pictures are too cute!!

Sophie is a real beauty.

I love the pictures of her licking the water off of her sweet paw.

I think that this all started with the ice cubes. Sophie has gotten into the habit of running into the kitchen whenever the freezer door opens, hoping for an errant cube to fall her way. One day, not wanting the mess on the floor when the cube melted, I put it in her bowl. She went nuts playing with it in her water! It was hilarious to watch, even though she made a mess. So, maybe she is still looking for more ice in her water?

Oh good grief how strange is that!. MY Sophie drinks the same way, and out of the same sort of bowl, and i just snapped her doing it last week

It's so cute isn't it!. How i caught Sophie doing it was because she sounded a lot quieter than Rosie drinking water and when i watched her found she was scooping it up with her paw

Pixel used to request ice - i foolishly put some in her water, after reading somewhere that the reason pets like toilet bowl water is because it's cold. after that, whenever i opened the freezer, there she was, meowing for ice in her dish. after i got them the fountain, she stopped requesting the ice - i think the fountain keeps the water cool enought for her!
