I was on my way to vote and pick up my car pool for work. Well I hope in my car and something isn't going quite right. The steering was totally off. So I stop in an empty parking lot and get out and my front right tire is totally flat.
AND I just got rid of my AAA membership this summer. blah. I have no idea how to change my tire to the donut thing. I need to get it fixed though. Any ideas how much it might be to get it towed?

What a terrible way to start your day, Beryl!

For a tow, I've found it to usually run around $75-100. I've so many times been stuck on the side of the road with a flat when a good person came along to help me. You know to be cautious about this, though. Is it possible you could seek the assistance of a police officer? Sending helpful, kind hearthearted, mechanically gifted people your way!

Your day can only get better from here!

Oh Beryl, what a start to your day!
Plus, it would have to happen when you cancelled your AA membership!
I bet you hardly used them when you had your membership!

I hope someone can help you sort your tyre!

As Stephanie said, your day can only get better from here on!

Sorry to hear about your day. There aren't so many kind hearted people around these days. I hope all turns out ok.

Fortunately I didn't get too far from my house so I drove it back home and my friend picked me up for work. So now I am here working away. It still stinks though. I'll have to make some calls later and figure out where to take my car. *sigh* thanks for all your kind words and good vibes.

I have to say car problems rank as one of the highest sources of stress for me. I'm so sorry you had to (and still have to) go through all this.
Frustration galore.

I'm sending many good vibes your way.

My vehicles (Ford) automatically have roadside assistance so I just call the number!!
But actually I would call hubby to change tire depending on time of day.
But when I was in high school that was one thing dad taught me- I had to rotate the tires of the family car (in November!!) Plus we rotate ours at home so I still get some practice in changing tires. Its not really too hard. Plus take the tire to any service station that fixes tires-they may be able to patch it versus buying a new one.
