I posted a while ago that we discovered a few crystals in Forest's urine, and his urine pH is on the high side. I pulled out the most recent lab results for all my boys, and, after further scruitny, decided I'm not happy with any of their pH levels, which range from 6.5 to 7.5. SO...I'm trying to find a new diet solution to address the problem.

My boys have been on Nutro wet for some time, but I feel like they need a higher protein content given their pH levels. I've been trying for the last few weeks to find a new wet food that still has high quality ingredients (no corn or byproducts), but has higher protein and a little lower ash. I finally settled on Innova, and bought a few cans but none of them will touch it. They'll only eat "chunky" wet food...won't touch the smashed-up stuff. None of them drink much water, so I want to keep them on a mostly wet diet.

Now I'm wondering if the best way to address the issue might be to supplement the Nutro with more protein through a partially homemade diet. I want to make sure they're still getting all the nutrients they need, though.

Does anybody have any experience or resources for creating a partially homemade diet?
