Yesterday Max and I were sharing an (ahem) `intimate' Sunday afternoon moment when we realised we had plenty of company.

Sunday was sharing - yes, sharing - the bed and giving us looks as if to say, `Do you MIND? I am trying to sleep here!' and then we noticed little Chester quietly observing from the doorway.

Jeepers is this what it's like to have kids???

It's even worse to have kids, they'd start asking what you were doing!

LMAO!! I know exactly what you mean!!! We almost always have an "audience". LOL

At least when they walk in on you, you don't have to explain what you're doing, and they don't relay the message to everyone they see that day!! LOL

No, with kids, they bang on the door, ask "what you guys doin in there?", or worse; peek underneath the door and listen to EVERY LITTLE SOUND you are making. Then ask you later... "why were you guys breathing so hard?"

At least with PETS, they have basically zero interest in human mating rituals; they just are annoyed that you use parts of their house to do this.

HA!!
I feel the same way, except with Harley, when you lock him out of the room, he cries and cries and cries until you let him back in, and then he just gets mad at us anyways....I'm not ready for kids...1 kitten is enuf!

"catal interuptus" is a hazard of cat ownership.
Our cats feel it's bad enough the humans take up so much of their bed for sleeping in, never mind our umm "playtime".

I make sure everyone is in that wants in before closing the door. Otherwise there is more noise outside the door then inside!!!!

My downstairs neighbor, who doesn't really like living alone but refuses to have pets, asked me recently if I ever get lonely. Is she kidding?

Dick makes the dogs get off of the bed but we still have four sets of eyes perched on the sidewall just a glaring away.
When the kittys are on the bed they completely ignore us.

Edgar seems to like it, and I almost hear him say "awww, mom and dad are playing!!" Then he comes and sits on the bed, and usually falls asleep. We have learned to ignore him, b/c he will want to play too if we shush him off of the bed (nothing like cold paws on your butt)...

That's so funny about the `Mum and Dad are playing!' thing - my best friend's little girl (4yo) walked in on them the other night and said the same thing.....`Awwww are you guys playing????'. Hahaha would've liked to have seen their expressions after that comment!

There's no place like home
There is a story that I desperately want to share but won't do it on an open forum. It involves a kitten at play during the same circumstance. We'll just say that my husband wasn't amused.

It is always entertaining when you realize that they feel obligated to lay on any horizontal surface.
