Hallo there!
I posted earlier this week (I think) in the breeders corner. Now that we have gotten our babies home, I thought I would -really- introduce myself.
We just brought home two straight eared Scottish folds today. Haggis and Ghillie
They have to be the most adorable things I have ever seen
It was a 3 1/2 hour drive up there, and a little longer on the way home. The poor things have just been scared to death. We got them home and they have been hiding, skittish, etc. They have been eating, drinking, using the litter box. Haggis even played with us a bit, at one point he was rolling on his back to let me pet his belly. Talk about a heart melter!
Ghillie is going to be a little bit more of a challenge, she's freaking out anytime someone moves. She doesnt want you to hold her, but if you talk to her and pet her, she does calm down for a little while until she decides she has had enough. The breeder trimmed her nails this morning but she's ripped my hands up allready
I'm really hoping that with some time these two will feel comfortable and become great lap cats. I feel so bad that they are so frightened. Understandable, I mean they have gone through hell today.
I suppose I have always been lucky with my past kittens, they were never frightened of the family or the house, they acclimated right away. I've been reading a few different forums since we got home, and I guess I really DID get lucky with my past cats, as it seems this is normal for most people?
I promise to get some photo's of these little ones up as soon as I can.
