Hello everyone.
My name is Mandi, I have 2 cats
one Orange tabby bobtail male cat abot 2-3 yrs I got him from the animal shelter His name is Boss

My other cat is really a kitten, He is about 7 months old and is a black and white long haired cat.
His name is Ricearoniee
Boss is neutered, Rice isn't yet as my vet was uncomforatable doing him because he is still so tiny. He will be Neutered as soon as my vet says its okay.
I also have a dog named lady, but this is the cat site so i won't go into too much detail.

All of my pets are rescues, either from the animal shelter, or strays.
I'm not really sure what your supposed to say in an introduction, so if you want to know anything else just ask

This site looks very helpful, I look forward to spending time here!

Welcome to TCS! Mandi, I salute you for rescuing your cats & Lady

Actually, cat people seem to have an interest in just about anything you can imagine, so of course we would LOVE to hear about Lady. After all, she's the doggie sister to 3 wonderful cats so that makes her triple-special!! I hope that you can post the pictures soon! Looking foward to reading more from you soon!

Thank you for the warm welcome.
This has to be the most welcoming site I have ever been to!

I only have pictures of Lady and Boss, but I plan on getting a camera so I can take some pictures of Rice before he is all grown up! They grow so fast its amazing. He has already outgrown his first collar!

Should I post the pictures I have here or somewhere else? ( I don't want to break any rules )

Lady is my lab/beagle mix. I found her at the local fairground ( thats about 3 blocks from my house ) 2 years ago. She was terrified of me and anyone else.
It took about 4 hours, but after chasing her all over the town (SMALL town)
and bribing her with dairy queen fries and bologna from my house, I got her to trust me, and she hasn't left my side since.
She is about to turn 3 on Dec. third.
Since I don't know her actual birthday I decided we would celebrate together and her birthday is on my birthday

A little more about the cats:
Boss was adopted from the local animal shelter, and is a great cat. He loves being around people as long as you don't try to pet him. He doesn't like that too much. I respect that, and give him his space but love on him when he gives me the chance. He responds to his name and loves to chase the dog. He also lets rice nurse on his nipples.. I'm not sure why, I guess he always wanted to be a mother.

Rice is the Most loving kitten, I have ever met.
When he came to the animal shelter he was so tiny. he could sleep in the palm of my hand. You could feel every rib and every bone. He was also covered in fleas.
He was SO thin, the vets thought he had a disease ( I'm not sure the name of it, i think it was lukemia. I just remeber they didn't think he would survive.)
But they tested him for it and he was negitive.
So he spent alot of time going back and forth to the vets office and eventually he started to get better. at 12 wks old he weight less than a lbs.
Now he is 4 pounds at 6-7 months.
I am so proud of him!

Again thank you for all your welcomes.

Thank you so much for the welcomes!

Lady:

and Boss:

He never lets me get a picture of his little bobbed tail.

this is the day after he got neutered. he was still at the animal shelter.. but since I worked there I got to let him in the office until I could take him home that night.

You can almost see his little tail in this one
