Pedophiles BUSTED!

I saw the Dateline story, last night and think this is a noteworthy item.
http://www.perverted-justice.com/

In conjunction, with this website, Tucson's NBC affiliate set up a sting of their own. Last Thursday, several men showed up at a midtown house, expecting to have sex with children. To their surprise, they were met by law enforcement and TV cameras. All are now in the Pima County Jail. Channel 4 will air their program, Tuesday night, complete with names and faces.

Score a bunch, for the good guys!

they deserve to be named and shamed but with things like this i do worry about the effect it will have on their children if they have any or their spouses/family who are quite often innocent.

imagine how the kids at school would react to a kid who'se dad was on opne of these things?

plus naming and shaming encourages vigillante attacks and sometimes mistaken identity

its all very sad and very worrying that so many men were caught and were prepared to have sex with minors

I say, name them and shame them. I will save my sympathy for the victims of the perverts.
And hurray for Tucson. Go get 'em.
It is time all cities got proactive about catching these monsters that ruin our children.
All the sting operations that are after prostitutes and their "johns" would be much better used in stings against pedophiles IMO

I'm supportive of whatever it takes, to get these perverts off of the streets. As for publicizing their names and faces - so be it. Forewarned is forearmed.

Every one of those men showed up, with the INTENTION of having sexual relations, with a CHILD. Pervertedjustice.com features printouts of the actual IMs, between the pedophiles and the decoys. There is no questioning their intentions.

In cases like this, Pima County generally requires electronic monitoring, if the accused pervert makes bail. Too many of them have re-offended, while out on bail. I don't believe that they should even get bail. Where children are concerned, the court should err on the side of caution.

That site looks pretty new, but it looks like they are doing a good job of catching these evil scumbags.

If I was running things, they would have the ability to be repeat offenders, if you get my drift.

What an awesome website! I am going to make sure to e-mail it around! This goes along with the thread I started about men using young teen prostitutes & the FBI program, Innocence Lost, that attempts to stop human trafficking.
Yes, I do feel sorry for the families of the perpetrators, but there are resources out there to help them deal with the issues. I am sure that their main male figure, with this sicko behavior, was toxic to the family as well, more often than not.And who knows how many incest victims will be inadavertently spared as well!
With sting operations, I don't think there is much chance for "mistaken identity", unless a perp is using a false/stolen ID.

I'm happy to see that there are those out there that are going hardcore at nailing these creeps!

One of the clips, from that show, has a NAKED man, walking into the house, expecting to have sex with a 14-year-old boy.

He explained that he was sick and, because of the cameras, he's scared to do that again. The VERY NEXT night, he was back online, trolling for kids.

I never saw it but am glad those scumbags got caught.

I agree, it is probably helpful to have the perverts out of the family and in jail. I saw an excerpt on Scarborough Country (MSNBC), and had my 22 y/o daughter and 16 y/o son watch. I told them, when I say don't give out info on-line, there is the reason!

It is just so ugly to even think about these creeps, let alone see them on T.V. I am very glad they are getting some convictions from this effort!
