Just having one of those days in life

My dh's beloved grandmother passed away this morning...we had not even known for sure she was still alive. I won't go into it, but it was a horrible family matter, and we both loved and missed being able to write and see her. Now I know she is at peace, and knows all, now she knows why she didn't hear from us in the past few years, and just how often we thought of her, how much my dh loved her.

My mom called, to tell me her brother can not be found...courtesy of a new law in NY, never mind he is unstable, he apparently while still lucid, said in a snit he didn't want to be in touch with his sisters...now he's not with it, and they won't tell my mom and aunt where he is. Never mind that my gram is failing rapidly and may pass on truly any week. ARGH.

I am just tired...much happening in our private lives that is exceptionally good, but today sure felt like the world tilted

Pat I'm so sorry to hear you've had such a trying day. Hugs and good thoughts to you and your family.

It seems like the really tough stuff always comes in bunches.

Pat, I'm sorry to hear what a difficult day you are having. You're right about DH's grandmother - she knows everything now, and especially know the love you both have for her. And I'm sorry about your uncle too. Mental illness is so difficult...

Thank you guys...I have struck back in my favorite way (not always conducive to my losing weight)..cooking up a storm (wry grin).
Home made marinara sauce from homegrown tomatoes, homemade meatballs (I ground veal cube steaks to get the ground veal I couldn't find anywhere, ground pork and ground beef), and a veggie-cheese casserole.

I am watching Survivor with a meal all ready to just serve and eat once dh gets home (he is working late).

Sorry, when I am tired, I do natter on.

Girl...at one time or another you've helped most of us find solutions to health problems with our kitties.
It's our turn to be here for you....

Now cut that out...you are recovering! No running around taking care of others, you take good care of yourself! I mean it!

What a terrible day, Pat. You and dh are in my prayers during this difficult time in your lives. May God give you strength and perfect peace. Great big hugs and snuggles from my girls and me!
