On Gottadeal.com you can find the list of some of the stores with the deals they offer on the day after Thanksgiving sales. Walmarts list is on there, they have a HP Laptop listed for 398.00. Not sure I want to get up at 4 a.m. to go shopping but thats a good deal if you can get one. I wish Best Buys list was on there but its not yet.

I've been to Wal-Mart on Black Friday for the 6 a.m. opening, mostly to actually watch it live. It's an interesting experience.

Movin' on up!
I did the WalMart thing, two years ago. I had to park across the street and, once inside, learned how a salmon feelis, swimming upstream.

Stuck in a jam, a woman behind me kept bumping me in the butt, with her cart. Finally, I turned around and said, "Lady, nobody's moving, so banging me in the butt isn't going to get you anywhere." She gave me a dirty look but backed off.

Oh no not for me, I hate to go when it's crowded, I do most of mine online
Just let them deliver it. My Daughter lives for the day after Thanksgiving, I'm usually still to full

Hee hee! I was going to wait a bit to post about Black Friday!
The place we've found for Black Friday info is www.bfads.net which has the lists and adscans for Wal Mart, Sears, Ace Hardware, Harbor Freight, and Radio Shack. I looked at the other Black Friday sites and they all pretty much had the same info. Good thing about this site is that you don't have to be a member to see the ads or forums.

Earl and I are eagerly awaiting the Best Buy and Target ads. Wal Mart on BF scares me!
Last year we went to Target and it was actually....civilized! We got everything we wanted (granted, not the big items like portable DVD player), found a couple more things, and was able to grab McDonalds breakfast, come home and be back in bed by about 7:30.
We did Best Buy the year X-Box came out and were in short supply. Came away with one, so that was successful.

The other advantage to shopping on BF - you work off some of that turkey dinner rushing around to get those hot deals!

I didn't know there was such a site, but I did check it out.

Last year I went to bed early, which wasn't so hard after cooking all day.

I got to the stores before sunrise and got a few really good deals.
Gonna try again this year.
We'll see....

I usually worked the day after Thanksgiving as the traffic around the mall is way to crazy. All those out of town folks-not knowing where they are going!!
I never heard of the BF websites-most items I buy I aren't at those stores anyhow!!

MEEEE TOOO! i stay HOME all day -- dont go out for ANYTHING on Black Friday. I pretty much stay out of all stores ( except grocery)until about a week after thanksgiving. This will be the first year we will not have our Christmas shopping done before thanksgiving. We are waiting on Hubby's "bonus" to buy Christmas presents with so it will be about 2 weeks prior to christmas when we get that. I hate waiting. If it were up to me presents would already be bought, wrapped and labeled.

I never shop on the day after Thanksgiving. When I was putting myself through secretarial school in the early 1980s, I worked retail, and have had PLENTY of Thanksgiving weekends in the hell that is called Department Stores. LOL

I usually get up and out to the mall early on Black Friday, get whatever I can done by 11 am, then head home. Around here, the stores don't get too bad in until 10:30-11 am. I can get some pretty good deals and a lot done in those few hours. I just avoid the places that I KNOW are going to be a total zoo, like Walmart and Best Buy.

Unfortunately, I have to work on Black Friday now. I went once to Freehold Mall here in NJ on Black Friday... boy was that scary!!!!!!! That was my first and last shopping experience shopping on that day.

Shopping online does sound like a good idea though. Just don't know if I can get up early enough before work to do it. lol

I usually look at the ads (thanks Heidi for the link), if there an item worth going out for, try to go and get it.
