Hi! My name is Dianne and I'm from the Philippines. I've been browsing this forum for two days now and I really find it useful and very informative.
My boyfriend and I adopted cute kittens last week and they've been our joy eversince.

I still don't know their breed but I don't really care about that coz I've been wanting to have cats long time ago. My officemates said they are normal alley cats or moogies but what the heck, when you their big round eyes and pink bellies, who's not going to fall inlove with that? I'm really lucky to have them and double luck with my boyfriend who is so understanding and loves to spoil the kitties.
He drove for 5 hours just to get the kittens and let me have them on our vacation - (some hotels don't approve pets in their rooms, but my boyfriend surely knows how to make miracles) so also had them on vacation! They will be visiting their vet soon for initial check-up. I think they are around 6 weeks, but they are very healthy and active ~

I named them Jabi (short for Jollibee, white spoiled brat) and Mcdo (for McDonalds, orange cutey), two fastfood giants here in Manila. I'm posting their pictures coz I'm one proud mommy!!!

:Wavey: Welcome to TCS, Diane! Congratulations to your boyfriend and you on your new babies! They are sooo CUTE
And does Jabi have extra toes? I LOVE polydactyl cats!! You have much to be proud about, alright,
and I look forward to seeing more pics and reading McDo & Jabi stories! And you can tell your co-workers (I think that you call them office mates) that here in California it's considered chic to adopt "moggies" from the shelter - with cats & dogs, it seems that "purebred" isn't nearly as important as personality, just like people, which is why in the USA we elect our country's leaders, not keep a royal family. See you in the forums! Susan

Thank you guys for welcoming us here in TCS. It's been a long weekend for us in the PI and I just love it because I spent more time with Jaja and Macmac, (they don't respond to their real names now) I've been trying so hard to find out their gender! it's so confusing
Anyway, I assumed Jaja is a she since she purrs a lot and very vocal while Mcdo, a he, is very quiet and timid. Is there any way that I can really confirm their sexes?

By the way, posting some old pictures that I find so adorable and I want to share it with you all

-mcdo watching TV

-jaja playing with the camera!

Hi catsknowme! Thanks for the welcome. I'm not really sure if jabi has extra toes, seems like she don't but she has this super big paws and so as jabi.
You're right, I cant wish for anything more having those kittens! I wish I could have more... Actually I'm thinking of adopting a couple again! But then I'm bit afraid that Mcdo and Jabi would feel indifferent to the new cats? I've been bit alarmed that there are so many unwanted kittens left to starve and die here in PI, esp. in Metro Manila, it breaks my heart to see them in such sorry state that's why I want to adopt and adopt and adopt! lol It's just so stupid that people leave kittens to die on the road! I hate them! Wish they would experience the same thing they did on the poor kittens! My boyfriends always get startled when driving coz I always scream when I see dead kittens on the road.
I just so love my boyfriend for being so understanding and letting me get all the kittens that I want. Opps, been talking too much.
Nice to meet you and all of you

I love your latest pictures! It's difficult to tell their sex when they are young like that
It makes me so happy that you are concerned about the kittens in your country. I am certain that people like you can slowly make a difference by educating others about cat care

What beautiful babies!!!

If you have a little boy you should be able to see two little testicles just below his anus!

Make sure you get them to the vet for a checkup and to tell what sex they are so you can get them neutered or spayed before one of them gets pregnant (if you have a boy and a girl that is!)
