Wasn't the Prisoner of Azkaban amazing??? I loved that film - it was my favourite of the books, too, and they did it soooo well.

I'll be interested to see how they manage with this film because there's so MUCH in the book and they have always managed to stay so faithful to the original story so far...

I am also very excited about The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe as well. I have been hoping they'd make those books into movies ever since I was a little kid and now they are!! Woo hoo!!

I'm looking forward to it as well, although apparently Daniel Radcliffe who plays Harry wants the character to die.
And I also heard tonight he's dating his 23 y.o. hairdresser. Wouldn't that be illegal?? Media... sheesh.

Just kidding
Everyone in my family loves the Harry Potter stuff. I thought the first three movies were good, so I'll probably see th fourth movie too.

I hated the last two movies but loved the first. They are NOTHING like the books. I'll go see the fourth movie because I'm such a Harry Potter fan, but I hope I'm not let down again.

I can't wait for the movie either. My mother and I are going to see it on the 23rd at the Imax theater in Nashville before I pick up my father at the airport.

From the previews I think we will all be quite satisfied. The director has said he's leaving out some things due to the length it would make the movie... all that stuff with Hermione and S.P.E.W will not be in this movie (thank goodness).

Okay gotta start my day, the cat is yelling at me.

I cant wait for the movie.... Though, I know that I will be dissapointed. This book is considerably longer than the last three. At first... the director thought about making the movie in 2 seperate parts as to not cut alot of the side stories out, but in the end, they decided to just make 1 movie... so I imagine that they will have cut alot of the book out.

On a related note... does anyone know if J.K. has started the 7th book yet?? I'm really hoping that this last one will be a long one!

She said on her website that she planned on starting it at "the end of the year." I don't know if this qualifies as the end of the year yet or not but I hope so!

I always have to get the books the first day they're released in English (through Amazon), but I usually wait until the movies are released on DVD, so that I can see them in the original language. HP isn't bad in German, but some of the names just don't translate well.

Never thought of that, but many of the names are either puns, or relevant in some other way. Like "Lupin" being a werewolf for instance (I know there's a slew of others which I can't think of at the moment.)
