help i have a 6 month kitten and he has been lethargic for 2 days he has eaten a little bit but mostly he has been sleeping i took him to the vet and they checked him out but because i did not have more than 100.00 on me the did not run any tests thay gave me an antibiotic and sent him home any body have any idea on what might be going on with him (he has not been vomiting or has had diarehha

Is he eating and drinking anything? Cats and kittens especially can be in great danger of dehydration and the start of liver failure if they do not eat for 2 days. If he is not eating you may have to force-feed him. Let us know more please.

For $100 all you got was an office visit and some antibiotics? Holy moly that is expensive.

If this is not your regular vet, I'd scout around for another one, see if a payment plan is an option. You need bloodwork to get an idea of what is going on with this kitten - did they at least check his temperature? Lethargy can be secondary to a fever...but if he does have a fever, what you really need to know is what is causing it.

Please get him back to the vets for that blood work.
