hi all:

i have heard from a fairly knowledgable cat person that Wysong has changed their formula in the last year and that this brand of cat food is no longer as nutritious. this person now recommends Dynamite as the best and most healthful cat food on the market. does anyone have any experience or firsthand information about Dynamite? and any confirmation on the reports that Wysong is declining in quality?

thanks,
tom

Who is the knowledgable cat person and what are their qualifications to make the statement?
I'm very interested, because I use Wysong products and I don't want to continue if there is a problem or concern.

I would write and ask Wysong if there have been any changes...they have a very responsive website, and frankly, I suspect this is less about changes in their formulas, and more about a company that is promoting their own product by putting down another company. Dynamite is sold via a network of independent distributors. Now that doesn't mean Dynamite isn't a good product, Flint River Ranch is a brand that also chooses to market itself via Independent Distributors - I loyally fed and was a distributor as well because of the results I saw with my cats and how much I believed in the food.

I did not find a dry cat food listed on the Dynomite site..instead they have a canned that they describe as all meat with no fillers, but it uses barley concentrate, alfalfa (which I have some hesitations about feeding to cats), and corn germ meal...I don't see it as superior to Wysong's "Just Meats" -especially as this requires supplementation also and is not a complete food. Here are the ingredients from the website: Ingredients of" Dynamite Canned Turkey for Cats:
Poultry, Liver, Water, Corn Germ Meal (dry milled), Alfalfa Nutrient Concentrate, Barley Nutrient Concentrate, Yucca Shidigera Extract, Dehydrated Yeast Culture, Calcium Ascorbate*, Whey Powder, Dicalcium Phosphate, Dried Kelp, Iron Amino Acid Chelate, Manganese Amino Acid Chelate, Zinc Amino Acid Chelate, Magnesium Amino Acid Chelate, Copper Amino Acid Chelate, Cobalt Amino Acid Chelate, Potassium Amino Acid Complex, Sodium Selenite, Vitamin A Supplement, Deactivated Animal Sterol (source of Vitamin D), Vitamin E Supplement" At $4 a 14 oz. can I think this is pretty high priced, and I would not choose this over Wysong's just meat line.

just my 2 cents.
