I noticed this past week that Kash has been a little more friendly than usual. like for instance at night she usually sleeps down at the end of the bed since im a fidgty sleeper....or she'll crawl in with my mom and sleep on their down comforter.....but then this week, which is also the week of my feminine cycle....she was sleeping up by my head and pushing me off my pillow, so she could lay there....any ideas? or is she just being a lover?

She could be responding to the pheromones that you are putting out! I mean, cats always know when you are upset or not feeling well, so I wouldn't think that menstruating would be any different!!

Or maybe she is just feeling a little lonely and wants to be closer to you? Or maybe she is in heat?

My cats seem to be aware of cycles, emotions, everything. Clyde even paid special attention to my chest for a week or so just before I discovered something that needed to removed. I'm sure I wouldn't have found it so early if not for him!

However, I've also noticed that, as the weather turns colder, my kitties are even more interested in snuggling, especially at night. And right now, my furnace isn't working, so I'm GRATEFUL! :-)

Scooter has been like my little fuzzy heating pad ever since I started having some "female troubles" a few months ago. He cuddles right up to my belly and stays there as long as I don't move. He starts this a few days before I even need it. Fred would sit on my pillow and watch over me when I was sick. They know what is up with us, sometimes better that we do.

This is becoming a well known phenomenon. They're even training dogs to detect cancer now! Hope you gave Clyde some extra treats after that!

Cats and dogs perceive the world on a chemical level that we humans can't really understand. I don't find it hard to believe that our pets are reacting to our hormonal/chemical changes, even if we're not aware of it ourselves.
