I picked up Mica from the vet after her spaying to be told that she has fleas. I already used frontline on both kittens I bought from the vet. Any other advice? They are both indoor cats so I don't know how they got fleas in the first place. The only thing I can think of is that in the vets office, or maybe they jumped on me while outside and I brought them in.

If you have flea treated the kitten safely, you need to just wait for the fleas to die. It takes time 24-48 hours for all the fleas to go away. Frontline needs to be used on cats 3 months or older in order to be safe.

Hello first im new to posting here. I have been batelling fleas and the tapeworms that go with them all year and i have 2 indoor only cats . My vet told me that they come in on you or if you have friends with animals they can bring in the fleas on them .I was using frontline we got a spray from the vets that they said would work for 200 days all the while using the drops every month we even used those flea bombs that they sell in the stores nothing was working till one day my vet said wash them in dawn dish soap (not to do it often because it will dry there skin) it killed the fleas instantly then try a diiferent flea med we got revolution and i bought a cheap flea carpet powder and sprinkled it on the carpet a few times and i finally think i have things under control I HOPE!!

Indoor cats can get fleas. They can come in on you, other pets, etc. When did you put the frontline on them? It can take a few days to work. If all else fails, try another flea control.

Not without waiting the proper amount of days. Check with your vet, mixing flea control on top of flea control can cause fatalities in your pets.

If you just used the Frontline, then just wait about 2 days. If they are still not dead, talk to your vet, maybe you could try Revolution.

Thanks for all the replies. A few hours after I used front line evryone (me my bf and the two cats got constantly itchy). This morning the kitties seem normal and not itching at all.

Yesterday I changed the sheets and stuck the other ones in the washer. I found one flea on the sheets. Do you think the fleas are in the furniture? What if they jump out on the cats again will I have to use frontline again?

Read again the advice you have already been given. You don't need to use more flea control without talking to your vet. Another thing you can do that will help is if you have carpet then vacuum it every day and dump it. If you have the kind of vacuum that uses a bag, spray inside it with something to kill the fleas that you pick up. If you will vacuum that will pick up fleas and eggs.
