Just out of Curiosity,

My cats seem to be facinated by the bathroom... weather it's what's hideing behind the toilet (which is never anything) to watching intently while I take a shower. It dosn't realy concern me, but I'm beginging to think my cats are little fuzzy perverts... and don't even think about closeing the door... that gets them realy upset *smile*
Is everyone's cats just as strange?

Yes! LOL

I'm not sure why we all aren't allowed to go to the bathroom or shower without being watched. I call it 'supervising'.

Yup-Harley loves to sit behind the toilet while I get ready in the morning...I have no idea why...and he loves to watch the water go down the drain in the bathtub!

one of my cat's used to do that. actually my cat would poke his head in the shower. when i was in there he would meow at me untill i got out. i think he just wanted to be around me all the time. my cat wilbur never wants to be without me. he comes in the bathroom and when i am taking a bath i put my head out and he comes over and gives me a headbutt. i love that guy.

My cats won't let me in the washroom by myself, but they'll leave their father alone when he's in there. I think it's because I caved early on in our feline-human relationship, and so the cats (my cats, other peoples' cats, the entire feline species it seems ...) know that I'm a pushover, whereas my boyfriend has never allowed the cats to follow him into the bathroom. (It's his sanctum sanctorum.) For the most part I'm okay with this, except when Oz decides to leap up onto my lap while I'm sitting on the toilet. Bare legs + sharp claws + 15 lbs of squirming cat = OWWWW!!!

Oliver's the same way... everyone knows you can't fully shut the door when you go into the bathroom... he likes to watch the toilet flush and occasionally will drink from it (when it's clean and filled back up of course!)... he also plays in the (empty) bath tub with my rubber duckies and he has a spare water dish in there when no one's in there.... it surprises me because the bath tub is where he gets his monthly baths, yet he still plays in there!

Maggie May will follow me in and walk around my legs, and brush up against them. Jazz a Boo waits outside.

I know its a bad picture, but hope this reassures you Sibohan2005.

Luna is very fascinated by the bathroom. If I take a bath, she'll sit on the edge of the bathtub. Doesn't really bother me much though.

At the moment, I have one who's fallen deeply in love with the household sinks...To the point of sleeping in the empty ones and batting the drainstop around the one in the bathroom.

All of my cats are bathroom freaks. I haven't peed behind a shut door in 20 yrs. LOL Shalimar(RB) and Pipsqueek are even what I call "social pee-ers".
If I pee, then they pee in their litter box. Frantic sits on the sink and gives me headbutts.

When I take a shower, Pipsqueek has to come over and make sure the evil water isn't attacking me. I have to stick my head out several times to let him know I'm OK

Ricki, my 4-month-old kitten, insists on accompanying both myself and my husband when we go to the bathroom. the sound of... well, you know... will somehow wake her out of the deepest sleep! with me, she climbs up on my lap. with david (my hubby), she jumps up onto the toilet seat. sometimes she even gets brave and bats at the stream, which has led to a few accidental showers... followed by a BATH! yuck! and speaking of baths, neither of us can shower by ourselves. ricki has to sit on the ledge of the bathtub and wait for us to get done so she can jump in and play around.

chase, my older cat, often goes to the litter box while i'm going to the bathroom, but that seems to be his only OCD bathroom behavior. well, that and insisting on licking the water off my legs after i get out of the shower! if i try and stop him, he gets really mad.

How funny that kitties like to hang out in the bathroom! My persian boy, Sluggo, loves the bathroom too! He's always laying around in there. If you take a shower he will go inspect the tub once you're done. And yes, my kitties have to use their litterbox when I'm in there too. It's just a big community room.

My cats, too, insist upon "supervised" showers. They sit and meow outside the curtain (I have to peek out every once and a while to show them I'm okay). And after the shower, they will meow non-stop, until I am dry and pet them. I have decided that it is because they think I'm CRAZY for fully immersing myself in this "evile water spray" and that they meow until comforted and accepting of the fact that I have "survived" the danger of the shower :-)

We solved this problem by mommy purchasing a new shower curtain - a clear one with duckies on it so Oliver can see right through! He's very happy now - he can sit and have a drink on the potty (during my showers, his bath tub water bowl gets put on the closed toilet) and make sure mommy's ok in the shower

Sophie is the official bathroom supervisor here, too. While I brush my teeth, she must sit on the sink and watch intently as I do so. This has resulted in toothpaste on her head. Using the toilet, she must be between my feet, looking up at me....quite disconcerting, if I may say! Shower time, she must be on the rug at the foot of the tub, ready for anything. She's a nut!

Buddy always goes into the bathroom following me. He likes to watch the water running down the shower door and trys to attack the running water. He also likes to jump up and watch the water flush down the toilet.

Our Tedy thinks it`s his job to come in and rub your legs and give head butts while you are on the toilet...and Toby is a voyeur when you are in the shower.

Oh yes, never an alone moment in either shower or loo - I don't get it but I've never met a cat who doesn't race in there the minute I get up to go. I think it's really cute.

lol yup. Kasha is like that too....if you close the door she sticks her paw under the door and cries, and then even though she isnt fond of the water....she'll sit there in the shower with me...and if the faucet is on or leaks she'll stick her head under....its quite funny....that and she has a thing for sticking her paw down the drain....GROSS!
