In response to your other post, get another kitten. She'll probably stop attacking you and the kittens can torture each other.

I would agree that she definitely needs a playmate - another kitten. I generally keep pairs and my cats, for all their little idiosyncracies, are generally well adjusted.

When I'm playing with my young ones, I put on what I refer to as my "kitten mitten" - got it at a petshop chain store - it goes up to the arm, has a place for your thumb and you'll be able to wrestle with them without them getting through to your skin... I actually gave one to an acquaintance whose cat attacked to the point of drawing blood while playing. It is a leopard print thingy...around $10 if I recall.

Outside of that, when your feet are getting attacked, are they bare or under sheets? Under sheets = FUN for a kitten/cat

Best of luck!

But they have wriggly things at the end of them!!! Meant for biting and chewing!

My 6 month old will attack ANYTHING that moves, including air and shadows.

You just have to yelp at them if they are hurting you, or give them a stern No (i.e. deep and resonating voice). Or you can push them away - Never pull away as their claws will only dig in further, but push away, with your palm on their chest until they back off - This gives you the dominant position.

She's playing - she's a young kitten and you're her form of entertainment. Feet and hands are irrestistible to cats. But this behaviour is a no no and you need to redirect her play away from you and onto a toy. Does she have many toys? If not, then get her some things to play with - and make sure you play with her with them, not leave her to her own devices.

Another kitten would be a fantastic idea, too - cats who grow up with other cats in a loving home generally have better health and live longer, too. They like companionship and then they can maul each other without you getting in the way! Aside from the fact that two kittens are highly entertaining, they do tend to look after each other as well, so it's not as much extra work as you might initially think.
