I am sorry the fight was not longer and that the loss is so great. Your showed your love for her for 13 years and you made the ultimate sacrifice guided by that love. I have moved the thread

I'm so very sorry!
You have 13 wonderful years of happy memories and she's long over the bridge now and back to her full health.

I can only imagine how heartbreaking this is for you, but always remember that were all here to help see you through this sad time

This was heartbreaking to read
It sounds as if you provided her with lots of love during her time here. I hope that knowing you did all you could helps the hurt in some small way.

Condolences on your tragic loss! Please hold your dear little sheltie dog for me, and give him an extra scritch or two, because I understand how very difficult it is for the ones left behind. I have lit a candle in the window to help light the way over RB for your beloved furbaby. Hugs, susan

Rachel, I am so sorry for your loss. It is so painful when they are critically ill. I like your vet, who helped you put the kitty's needs before yours at the end.

Rest in peace, sweet kitty. You will never feel weak or sick again. Enjoy your place in the sun, over the Rainbow Bridge.

So sorry for your loss. You did make the right decision. Cats live very dignified lives and they should die that way too. Bravo to you, even though you hurt, it was the right thing to do. Bless you and may your heart heal soon. Rest in peace dear one.

So sorry to hear that. It did sound like the right thing to do, what a shame you couldn't be with her - I agree with you about cremation though. Hope your dog will be fine.
