Hi, I have 6 cats--two of them {my adult males} are healthy as can be. They eat their food {Wellness canned, various flavours} with gusto and have no problems. My other 4 cats have of late stopped eating well. They are two 2 year old females, one 8 month old female and one 15 week old male. So these are all young cats, one of them a kitten. I have tried feeding them their old Purina Pro Plan kitten food {which I originally had them on before I switched to the Wellness, it being better for them} and the newer Wellness canned. They will nibble both, but never eat very much of it. I tried tuna fish {never fails, and if it does, something's wrong!} Same thing--they ate a few bites, then wandered away from it. They will do this throughout the day, eating a little bit then walking away, but what they eat doesn't amount to nearly enough for their weight. The kitten especially worried me since he's at an active growing phase in his life, so I took him to the vet. The vet found a temp of 103 and put him on antibiotics. I have been giving him these for the past couple days. Some days he seems to eat better, others not as well. He had one day where he got really sick--throwing up, and diarrhea--the next day he was better and back to eating a little bit. Then the next day the 8 month old female came down with it. She too returned to eating her usual little bit the following day {today}. I don't know if this is something separate or tied in with the poor appetite, but I have no idea what could be doing this! The kitten is his normal, hyper self--he plays and runs all over the place as though he had nothing wrong with him. He just doesn't eat enough. I am going crazy here.

something seems to be going around but whatever it is is affecting them all equally, all 4 of them, except my two grown boys. They are eating well. These 4 cats will eat, just not much at a time, and one of them has lost weight I noticed. I'm getting really worried and starting to cry here. I just want them to be ok.

Sounds like bloodwork is necessary in order to find out what is going around in your home. Hope you find the cause-
