The Kitten is all pished off with me caus' I bandaged up her foot.
Whenever she gets tired, bored or hungry she starts sucking and slurping on the one poor paw. The fur is starting to wear thin and its not white anymore.

Time to break the habit Puss!
I've tried rubbing lemon into it but who feels like hunting out the lemon at 2am inthe morning when she's slurping in my ear? Have also tried a band-aid but she can get them off.
I know some people think its a cute habit the sound really turns my stomach and she gets thrown out of the bedroom.

Any bright ideas out the to stop this, I know remedies for kids-nail biters and thumb suckers but not a cat!
What is something long-lasting and foul-tasting yet non poisonous and widely available that I can put o this poor paw?

She might have some allergy in the area, or even a splinter, etc. Why not get the vet to check it out? She might need some steroid cream, etc. Bandaging (are you sure it's not too tight?) won't really help anything, but could agitate her even more.

As long as it is just a behavior problem and not a splinter or other problem with the paw that needs attention, you might try Bitter Apple for Cats. (There is also one for dogs.) It is a bad tasting spray. I've never used it myself, but several others on this board have mentioned using it previously. It can be ordered online if you don't have a pet store locally that carries it.

Definately not an infection of any kind. She's been doing it ever since we weaned her (3-4 months), rather quickly I might add due to a stay at the vets.

I'll drag my DH along to the pet shop to ask about the spray but in the meantime would cider vinegar be ok?

I personally wouldn't think so (it makes me sick... all that acid), but if the vet says it's ok...
