If I can convince my mom I might be getting a new kitten!! My friend's cat Miss Kitty had a litter and there's only 4 left!! I might be getting either a black female or a tabby female..depending on if this other girl doesn't get the black one before me!!

I have the opposite problem, as Sunny keeps pulling up our breeder's website and saying things like "This one is available!"
. LOL we really don't NEED another cat, two Maine Coon males and a Pekingese in the house are enough thankyouverymuch!

Right now I'm getting really fast "NO's" which you know I really don't understand why I'm getting the "no" since I've shown that I can take care of more than one cat at a time and since I am able to pay for like everything..*Sigh* I just wish I had my own place right now so that I wouldn't have to worry about this........any ideas on how to convince my parents......

I would love another kitty, but I have to remember that when Ian and I get hitched and move in together...we'll have 4 kits right off the bat! And we want to adopt a couple dogs when we're both settled somewhere, so...it's going to be a little zoo

The biggest issue I could see coming up if I do get the kitten is all her kittys have fleas right now. I guess they're working on trying to get rid of them but oh my goodness if they don't by the time I get the kitten it's gonna be pretty haywire bringing the cat home to Joey and having the fleas jump onto him!!
especially since at this very moment I don't have flea medication because Joey isn't really in that much of a risk of getting fleas since he never goes outside..mom does a great job at keeping the house cleaned..and I do a great job at keeping Joey cleaned.
Fleas are easy to get rid of!

Since you said you'd be able to pay for most stuff, maybe it would help if you make a list showing expenses and how you would pay for it. This will only help if money is the big problem though! Good luck! (As for the flea problem, pick up a flea treatment before getting her, and keep her secluded until you have can apply the treatment and comb off the fleas. That should take care of it!)
You could do what I do! Just take one home!! My Mum used to take one look at the pets I brought home and would fall in love!! Then I couldn't take them back!!!

I don't want to risk them ending up in a shelter otherwise I would do that.
Would it be possible to convince your mom that the kitten would be a christmas or birthday gift? Then, though, you'd have to be prepared to have a potentially gift-less Christmas.
My only other thought is that you could convince her to let you get one for being such a good kid! Have you gotten good grades recently? That could work!

I dont' think I'll be getting her..*Sigh* Guess if I ever wanna get another cat I'm gonna have to wait until I move out
