My Sweet Princess

My dad just called to tell me that my little Princess died today. She was seventeen years old, so it was her time, but she was my little darling. I was eleven when she was born. People say that black kitties are bad luck but she was good luck to me! I'm going to miss her so much!

So sorry to hear about your loss. I don't think black kitties, or any kind of kitty is bad luck. She looks like a sweety in her picture.

I am so sorry for your loss. Black cats are wonderful and don't let anyone ever convince you they are bad luck. My soulmate cat, Max, died in July. He was the love of my life and never was he bad luck. May your memories of Princess bring you comfort. Rest in peace sweet kitty. You are missed.

Thank you all for your support! I definitely agree, black kitties are certainly not bad luck and are wonderful!

Last night as I was trying to sleep, I was thinking that my mom, who passed away five years ago, could take care of Princess in heaven until I get there. That made me smile because she could never pet or play with Princess when she was alive because she was allergic to cats (and all animals with fur or feathers for that matter) and I always suspected she really wanted to. That thought makes me feel a lot better!

I think my dad's going to get two little kittens, too, which I think will be fun. (I should mention, I don't live with my dad anymore. Although I wanted to take Princess with me when I moved out, we decided it wouldn't be best for Princess.)

I'm very sorry. Princess was a beautiful black kitty. I'm glad to hear she lived such a long and happy life.
