This is about driving me nuts. When we moved into this house we had some extra money in the budget and used some of it to get some badly needed "real" furniture (you know, the kind that you don't have to put together or that comes from the thrift store
). Well, we decided to get a leather sofa, and found a nice Italian leather sofa for about $800. Expensive, but we felt it would last well if we took care of it and would also be less attractive to kitty claws. At the time we did NOT have the room, or the arrangement, or the $$$ for the loveseat that went with it (which of course was only about $50 less than the full sized sofa.) I had a hard enough time convincing myself to spend $800, I really didn't want to spend $1600 at the time, but if I'd known then what I know now I would have done it anyway!
Well, now I really need some additional seating in the Living Room the way it's arranged now and of course they don't make this anymore and I've been going nuts haunting eBay and craigslist hoping that I might luck up on one. I'm about ready to see if I can just find one that will "go" without trying to get the match.
It's been a hard lesson, but I've learned that if I really want it and it fills a need, I better get it NOW as it's not going to be there later!
