In honor of Halloween approaching, I thought it'd be fun to have a poll to see which movie TCSers think is the scariest movie of all time.

I am the biggest chicken when it comes to these movies and I refuse to see any of them! I wouldn't be able to sleep for a month!

I love scary movies!!! I don't like slasher flicks (Freddie, Jason type blood baths) but I love stuff like The Ring, The Grudge, Exorcist... stuff that is truly spooky & makes ya think.

Anyone can cut up people but that can be boring. Truly scaring the wits out of someone takes good camera work & a great story behind it!

Witch Board for some reason freaks me out.
If anyone has seen it, it has this background noise of a person kind of moaning. Every time I am in the woods cutting wood I keep thinking of that background music like something is watching me.

Every time I am driving in the country or a small town I think of Jeepers Creepers. Hoping I don't see anyone or anything unloading bodies like he was in that movie.
However, the second Jeepers Creepers and the other Witchboard sequels did not scare me whatsoever.

Ok, when Blair Witch first came out, there was a rumor going around that it was REAL footage of what happened there, and when I watched it, I really thought it WAS real, so for me, that movie was the scariest thing I have ever seen! I know it sounds naive, but I was told it was real, and I believed, it, and my heart was POUNDING in my chest during almost the whole movie!!!
I don't get scared by movies often, so it's really hard to find something that does scare me. Also, it's not really a Halloween movie, but when Jurassic Park came out, I saw it in the theater and THAT movie also scared me! Great effects!

For me, coming from a culture where forests are a normal, friendly everyday thing, BWP was mostly comical. I was like: "Gimme a break, they're in a forest the size of a napkin and can't get out, loosers".

I saw Poltergeist when I saw 8. I was just flipping around and didn't know what it was. I couldn't sleep for a week after that one.

Anyone remember the Tales from the Crypt guy??? The first time we saw him we went screaming from the room...

I think it was The Exorsist. I'm Jewish, and I ended up sleeping with crosses and Bibles in my bed after seeing that movie.

I get really spooked by movies like The Sixth Sense. It's the psychological thrillers that I find scary.

Also, Seven really freaked me out when I first saw it. And now Saw is sort it's next generation equivalent.

Saw and The Ring are pretty scary for current stuff.
