Lately my cat has been extra intent on getting outside at night, usually I'll let her out 2 or 3 times a month, she has some cats that live with the people in the apartments next door that she plays with (Fun play, they come sit in our backyard sometimes). I figure if she's with other cats, she's relatively safe to go out from time to time, and she always come back in when I call, so she doesn't go far. However lately she has been at the door every single night like a crazed animal, throwing herself against the windows, doors, whatever. Usually from 8pm to around 11pm. So, once I let her out and followed her. To my surprise, I found her cuddled up with a big, very pregnant tabby cat under a car in just down the street from my house. The pregnant cat didn't have any collar or identification, and she wouldn't let me come near her so I'm pretty sure she is a stray. Also, my cat got alittle sick the day after, so this pregnant cat isn't very healthy and needs to get to vet (They said it also could have been that my cat ate something she shouldn't have)
Here is what really worries me. It's getting close to Halloween and we all know there are ignorant teenagers who think it's "funny" to hurt cats around this time of year and there are alot of young kids living around here from all walks of life (even some gang activity). That's why I've stopped letting my cat out, but I'm worried that something might happen to this pregnant cat, I tried to look for her but I couldn't find her.
Is there anything I can do? Maybe at least get her to come in my backyard where I can give her food and keep her safe?
(Also, my cat is a spayed female. So no, she isn't the father)
