Smoking, definately.

Hands on crafts, usually around the house, like drying flowers and decorating, because I have to do it myself. Whenever I want something, I've pictured it in such detail I can't find it to buy! OTherwise, I'm not much of an artist.

5) how many animals do you 'own'? None! 2 kitties own me, and they make sure I know who's boss!

1) I can't think of any. I would have to ask my husband.

2) When it's dark. It's so quiet and the sky is so pretty.

3) Christian Bale and James Caviezel. They are phenominal actors and they have a look about them that takes my breath away.

4) Musical Instruments. If my parents would of had the money for lessons I would be a verty talented cello player and pianist (I think). I actually can play some tunes one handed by ear on the piano.

because the sun is rising, it's a new day, and the possibilities for art are endless at the beginning of the day.

hmmm... it's a tie between Cate Blanchett & Britney Murphy...

why? because they are two of the most talented, beautiful & unique actresses i've seen.

something about their sense of presence draws me in.

i write & i love it.

3 used to be 6. i have 3 lovely cats

ideally though (in the future) i'd like to have 6 cats, 2 dogs, fish, some birds and ... who knows what else !

Oh, I never know the answer to questions like this. I'm lucky if I remember any of their names at all. I do like Richard Geere, simply because he's so nice to look at. Mel Gibson is too. I think Susan Sarandon (sp?) is very talented.

Writing - I was a technical writer when I worked (because it paid the bills), but I really prefer creative writing, short stories, and I'd like to write a book some day. I'm toying with the idea of writing children's books and my neighbor will illustrate it. Could be fun.

Total, 6. Two cats, two large Oscar fish, one labrador retriever, and one rat.

6) coffee or tea?
Definately coffee, with real cream. I had the best coffee the other night with some girl friends. We broke up chocolate mints (the hard ones), put them in the bottom of the mug, poured in the coffee and stirred until the candy was disolved. Then we put real whipped cream on top. Heavenly.

7) what activity are you interested in pursuing that you have been putting off?
Anything by myself. Two and a half more years, and I should have some time.

8) do you like kids?
Mine.
Also, I like some of my friends kids who are well behaved. I have a really good friend who's kids drive me nuts because they're so undisciplined.

I don't know. I really liked the Sixth Sense, but I'm not sure it's my favorite. I can never remember (drives my husband nuts too).

10) what is your ideal place to live and why?
Right where I am because we have a house, and my hubby has a job. However, I think it would be great fun to live someplace beautiful, like New England or Washington State or Colorado. But they're not ideal since it's COLD in all of those places!

10) what is your ideal place to live and why? Pretty much the same area I'm in, but out of the subdivision and away from people!!! (Because I love the mountains, but I hate not having the freedom you have when you don't have a neighbor 20 feet away.)

4. I'm a writer--going to grad school in the fall.

7. I must brush up on my Spanish before school starts. I used to be fairly fluent--now I couldn't tell you where to catch the bus!

9. Carmen Jones is fun. So is The Seven Year Itch. Recently, I liked Zoolander.

10. DC is nice--there's anything you want to do or eat (almost) but not so much that you're overwhelmed. The population is generally very diverse, very intelligent and highly educated; people actually expect to know what's going on in the world, and the local paper is great. Figuring out the local "etiquette" is next to impossible, and everyone seems to think THEIR kids are God's Gift To Man--but those are minor annoyances that I've gotten used to. I do miss the Southern friendliness I grew up with, though.

1) My worst habit is procrastination..I put things off all the time and it makes it worse in the end.

2)My favorite time of day is late morning (like 11:00 or so) because all my housework is done and I've finished up at the gym for the day- I feel good about myself after my workout

3)I feel most drawn to Julia Roberts I guess because she is so talented and her personality seems to bubble over into the characters she plays on screen

4)Artistic wise I love to paint local scenes with acrylics. Lighthouse and boats and such- I also like to do painted portraits of peoples pets.

5)I am 'owned by' 9 animals at the moment- 5 great kitties and 4 siamese fighting fish. I'm looking forward to the day when we move to a bigger house with a yard so we can get a dog- my kids have wanted a Golden retriever since watching 'AirBud' :laughing2

7)I've been putting off taking Tae Kwan Do lessons until I'm in better shape- I hear its pretty physically demanding but its something I've always wanted to do.

10)My ideal place to live is right where I am. Nova Scotia is such a beautiful, scenic Province. I'm close to several awesome beaches and all of my and my husbands families live within a 15 minute drive of us. Small towns- while boring at times- can be the best place to raise kids.

Well, Im a "try hard" artist!! haha I love to paint with acrylics and also draw/sketch... I also do chinese Ink Painting which I love.

I knit and crochet. I've been into mail art for a few years. I make what I call "art furniture". I've been doing assemblages off and of - kind of like a collage only 3D. I'd love to do some installations one day, but I don't even know how to begin that. It's not like painting where you can do it in the living room then take it somewhere to show off.

I love New England, I think I would also like the Maritimes. Earth sea and sky for my Celtic heart. The cold isn't a problem because I'm not such a beach person. And I think the biggest reason I love it, is because it's home.

my ideal place isn't a location, but being near family and friends and having a tightknit group of loved ones. Where ever that exsists is my ideal.

Hey bodlover and ap, I cannot believe you don't like kids!!! They are angels, they are our futures, and they are the most innocent beings on the face of the earth!!!! C'mon gals, how can you not like kids???

( By the way, I am not being totally serious here, just a bit in shock that you guys don't adore children. I guess I don't understand how anyone cannot love the innocence and fragility of children. )

As someone who also said she's not so fond of all children . . .

I didn't enjoy being a child. I didn't enjoy playing with the other children. I can't really explain it, but I was always out of step and I was often scapegoated and frankly, I wasn't much interested in doing the kind of things most kids like to do. So now I'm an adult and I still don't want to play Barbies or pretend to eat plastic food or ride bike over a ramp. I don't like being interrupted for stupid things (Mommy, Arthur's on tv, and it's the one where Binky Barnes has a nightmare about he's going to eat a hamburger and it's a baby hamburger and the mother hamburger is trying to save it. Are you my mommy hamburger? What if someone was going to eat me all up? Pretend I'm the baby hamburger . . . ). I don't like saying, "Okay, I'll be in there in a minute" and we get a discussion about how long a minute is.

Even now, I came in the bedroom to type this in peace, and I'm not kidding, every 10 words she's been in here to tell me she heard the kids outside, she saw a toy advertised that she wants, she has to pet the cat, she remembered something from school, her friend has unicorn stickers, she doesn't see any ice so why can't she go outside, are we going anywhere today, etc. And the thing is, I don't care. I'm not that interested. Just let me finish a complete thought and then I'll want to know.

I know I'm overwhelmed and not the most patient person right now and I'm sure some of it is mommy burnout. It's just a bad day, it'll all blow over by dinnertime, but sometimes she's on my last nerve and this is one of those days. So this is why I don't like kids (I love my daughter, I'm not enjoying the age). I'm not the playmate, I'm not the servant, I have a life of my own and I need a little space to live it. I dont' want to be responsible for amusing her, she needs to learn to do that herself. And not everything is up for discussion.

Anyway, I must go make a sandwich for her.
