Howdy!
Anybody else out there on the glorious weight watchers program?
I'm going back on starting today!
I've been trying to lose weight by my own means, which clearly is not working! I need some more accountability and a more structured program to succeed, it seems. The lightest weight I've been in the past 6 years was because I had been doing WW, so clearly it works!

I was thinking it might be fun to start a WW PM "circle"!

We can PM each other once a day to talk about how we did that day, eating, exercising, all that fun stuff! Once a week we can do a collective "weigh-in" to see how much we've lost as a group!
Post here if you want to participate and I'll add you to the list!

Of course, PMs are down for a little while, so we'll have to wait to get started, but it sounds like it could be fun and a good way to keep us all on track!

Once PMs are back up, I'll assemble the list and send out the first group PM!

Me, me, me!!!

I started Weight Watcher about nine weeks ago (in fact, it was my birthday present to myself). I've lost almost 25 pounds so far. I just LOVE the program. I tried to lose weight on my own on a low-carb diet, but I couldn't stick with it, I felt crummy all the time, and my cholesterol shot way up. Obviously I need the structure, too.

Oh, I have always wanted to do weight watchers but I don't want to have to get up weight myself in front of someone. You have a really good ideal going on there.

When you do meetings, the only other person who sees your weight is the meeting leader.
And, honestly, no matter how heavy you think you are, chances are a Weight Watchers meeting will make you feel thin cause there are generally some really, really big folks there! I know it sounds horrible but every little bit of self-esteem helps, right?

Also, Weight Watchers has an online program so you can weigh yourself in the comfort of your own bathroom with only your kits to witness!

Eva, I was really terrified of that when I first started, too.
But it's OK...it's done privately...the only person who sees it is the clerk, and they don't ever say "OH MY GOD!!!!"
I think that having to drag my butt onto a scale once a week is a big part of what keeps me honest.

I did the on-line version. It was easy and hard. I had to run to the computer everytime I needed to count points and stuff. I really didn't like that. I want to have a book in my hand or a chart something to help me. That was the hard part. The easy part was the weigh in. I liked seeing the graph and how much I had lost so far.

I just hate stepping on the scales in front of people. I hate it at the doctors office.

I have been on WW for 8 weeks and have lost 30 lbs and 2-3 pant sizes.

I'm doing it with Jason, and we're doing really well, he's lost 31.5 lbs, and I'm so proud of him!

My mom has been on weight watchers for awhile- she has lost 55lbs in the past 2 years!

I have gone to a few meetings with her, and its such a great program, and the people are great there too! The weigh ins are confidential and everything. Plus, they have really awesome reciepe's too!!

I think its a really awesome program-I wish everyone on it the best of luck!

Eva,

Honestly, at the WW meetings, everybody is so supportive of everyone that you shouldn't feel uncomfortable. And if they aren't, switch to a meeting with a different group leader.

I started for the second time a few weeks ago, and I have been TERRIBLE. I think it's the stress from all I've been going through with my cat, but that's really just an excuse. Count me in. I lost about 20 pounds a few years ago, but went on a cruise and never stopped eating!!!

Hey all,
Since PMS seem to be up and running, I'll send out the first WW Group PM today!

Now, I have to go weigh in....yikes!
At least my flex points roll over! LOL!

I've been doing WW too, and just want to lose a few more lbs, but then will keep following the program to maintain the loss. Count me in!

Kluchetta, I've been cheating horribly lately too. But as long as you STOP cheating, you'll be ok! I know a few other people who have done really well with WW...I think as long as you stick with it it works for most people.

Hey Guys--
Well, it seems like working w/ the PMs is hard--hard to PM everyone at once, so, we can either start an email circle or we can just each post on this thread once a week...whaddaya think?
post here and place your vote for the future of the WW TCS group!

I'm going to try to figure out how to set up a poll, but for now, just post your preference?

I would like to post. But I think it should be more than once a week, so we can support each other every day!
