If anyone wants to see me this weekend, here's where I'll be.

It's October 29th and 30th at Washington Square Mall (corner of Washington Avenue and Green River Road). Look for me near the west entrance (faces Green River Road).

I would be PMing the locals in the Evansville Area, but that's not possible right now.

Come and see me! Emma'sFriend/Amie came last year. Lacey? Patty? Anyone?

I used to buy the gemstones at work, so this would be absolutely fascinating to me. I would love to go! I used to get invitations the the Tuscon gem show, but never went. The most I ever went to was the MJSA show in Providence and it was limited stones, more findings and packaging.

Chris, I am very disappointed in you! She mentioned Secret Santa and you didn't say "I'm sure I'll love it!"

Oh I hope it is me! I love gems!
Send them early if you want.
Just don't send a gnome.

Movin' on up!
Jan, if you ever come to the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show, give me a holler. I know all of the best restaurants and shopping spots.

Another year and another show and another set of tired muscles!

Over all, the show went well even though I lost a dealer at the last minute. He called Friday morning and said he was having health problems. *sigh* I'll have to call him and see how he is doing. (Something always has to go wrong with events, right?
)

Despite stiff competition from other events - such as a flea market at the fairgrounds - and 2 gorgeous sunny days in the 60s, the dealers seem to have done well and want to return. I counted the money in the club cash box (we have our own sales booth) and was suprised at the amount!
I hope I didn't count wrong.

I did buy something for my secret santa recipient - it combines two of their favorite things! (No hints except it does not involve gnomes.)

Next year will be the 40th show our club has held. We hope to plan some special things! Stay tuned!

katl8e/Cindy - Mom went to Tucson in 1999 for the shows and to visit a favorite cousin she had not seen in almost 50 years. She had a lot of fun. (this was a gift from my sis and bro-in-law.)

I have yet to go, but would love to someday. (Psst - know a bank I could rob?
There'll be a lot I'd want to buy! )

Hey! I'm sorry I missed you this weekend!
I was going to come on Sunday but developed a huge headache on Saturday night
that didn't go away until about 3:30 this afternoon.
Just as I was drifting off to sleep last night I remembered the show.
I am SO SORRY!
I really wanted to come and chat for a bit.

No banks but, I can usually find some good deals. The venues are scattered all over town and I know which ones are usually the best-priced. Two years ago, I got a beautiful Brazilian amethyst bracelet, with about 20 cabochons, set in sterling silver for $7.50.
