Hey everybody,
Just wanted to request some prayers/good vibes for one of my coworkers.
She lost her only son several months ago in a senseless act of violence.
He left behind a beautiful little girl. The suspect's trial starts today and it's going to be a very stressful time for my coworker and her family. She needs all the support she can get.
Thanks!

Sending prayers and good vibes for her and her family. When you say he left behind a beautiful little girl, I'm assuming you mean a child. How old is she and where is she now, with his mom or his wife/SO?

Yes, she's 8 and living with her mother, his exwife.

Lots of {{good}} vibes for your co-worker and her family. I hope that after the trial they can find peace within themselves, and get on with their lives as best they can.

I'm sending "vibes" her way. I can imagine how difficult the trial will be for her, after the tragedy of losing her son.

{{Prayers & vibes}}} for your co-worker & her granddaughter. My brother was killed by a drunk-driver when his oldest son was 8, and tragically, my nephew was never quite able to get over it, although he exels scholastically & is an accomplished muscian and attends a great university. My younger nephew was 6, and seems much better.
I can relate what she is going thru, with the trial. My other brother's son, my closest nephew (I was his mother's Lamaze coach etc.) was murdered at 18yo, and even though I didn't attend the trial, my brother & dad were there & kept us posted. It is so hard, after the police leave. And the saddest thing is that after the trial is over, there are appeals, and parole hearings, on & on - no closure. It is good that the perpetrator in our case is behind bars where he can't kill again, but after the guilty verdict, the pain of the actual loss was still there, and vengeance was a empty, unsatisfying hope. Hugs for your co-worker; thank you for being there for her! What a terrible, terrible loss under the most awful circumstances...
