They look sweet. Share your technique, what are you doing for them to get along.

Thanks Everyone!!

Well I kinda figured Daisy, our beagle, would be jealous
Plus our dog lives gated in our kitchen right now. (shes 10 months old and very puppy like still) She only comes out of the kitchen when she can be watched as she scouts out the rest of the house. So with those gates up Stormy and Daisy could check each other out without actually being together. We would occasionally take the cat in with the dog as long as we were holding the cat. EVentually we would put Stormy down on the floor as long as we were RIGHT there. Daisy is still a little rough with that. What has worked great for them is to let Daisy in the rest of the house and we just watch. Then Stormy knows where she can go HIGH where Daisy cant go for safety. I still think if they were to be alone Daisy would be too rough but in another month or so I think they might be OK. Stormy does climb over the gate and goes into the kitchen
And Daisy can get a little crazy, but then Stormy will just run and climb back over the gate.
I think for our babies just letting them smell each other alot and put them by each other worked great. I cant wait until we can let Daisy into our house all the time, but for now as soon as you turn your back shes getting something she shouldnt be.
Its funny because if we are sitting watching TV and being chilled Daisy does so well with obeying, but as soon as something a little more exciting goes on, one of the kids running across the room or jumping up off the couch fast then Daisy goes nuts and will run and grab my 2 year old sons toys and starting running like a madwoman around the house......lol
Shes come so far though with her training.
She makes us very proud.
And shes done wonderful with Stormy even if she doesnt realize how fragile Stormy is right now being so much smaller. Stormy puts her in her place often though.

I can say i was in the same situations your in about 2 months ago....now my dogs and cat roll around on the floor playing with eachother.....the gate works wonders that is what we did to keep the dogs away from the kitten, and Shadow, our cat, came under the gate when he felt safe and now he is just one of the pack. the only issue is when we are eating and cricket is begging, she will let out a low growl to make sure shadow knows that he isnt welcome....but other than that everything is amazing....=0) Good luck!

Good thing you explained that those were the dogs bowls that Stormy was sitting next to....or I`d think he just finished a HUGE FEAST! :-)

Too funny though.
