There was a thread I read the other day of Persian kittens being shaved and given to new owners. I think the reason was that it will improve the cat's coat. Is this a standard practice? Personally, it kind of bugs me. Have I cause to worry or not?
thanks!

I don't shave my kittens or cats before adopting them out. I've never heard of this practice either...unless it was to make them comfortable in a hot climate or something. I leave it up to the new owner how to care for their kitty's coat.
