I recently posted a topic about how I wanted to take in a stray that kept coming to our house.

So we took her to the vet and got her checked out..shots...ect...and I did everything in the posts about how to introduce this new cat to our other 2 cats we already have (ditty and black baby)

The thing is...ditty and black baby seem to still be anrgy towards the new cat Murial. The problem is...Whenever the 3 of them get near each other...They are start hissing at each other..and our cat Ditty starts to attack Black Baby and NOT the new cat!!! She chases her arounds and it sounds like she is trying to kill her! Is she doing this b.c of the new cat? I need some help!

Sounds like you need to start the introductions again....sometimes it takes a few weeks before cats adjust to a new cat. Also....whenever I take my cats to the vet..even though they have been together for 7 years..they still hiss and bite each other for a few days following the vet visit. It's like they don't recognize each other and need time to have the "smell" from the vet office go away. You also may want to buy a feliway plug in to help calm the situation.

Thanks. I guess I will have to start the process over. I had no clue the cats would go after each other like that! They dont even bother with the new cat!

Could one of them be sick?? Sometimes cats attack each other when one is sick....there are so many variables you are working with right now it's hard to pinpoint what may be the exact issue. But if you place the new cat into a seperate room do they still attack each other?

Mabye it's just a dominance thing, and since the new cat is probably the new leader, it picked your cat being attacked as the lowest-ranking cat in the house, and your other cat is doing the bossing around for it, I guess to show the new cat respect?
