Hi I am new to the forums
. I work in an Environmental Waste Oil and Petroleum processing facility outside Sparks, Nevada. We have a Trailer park next door to us in the desert. I guess a couple of litters were born over a few month period. Long story short I called around and found a nice elderly couple that pick up feral kittens and take them in and find foster homes for them.
Over a 2 week period I trapped 10 kittens, kept each over night here at work in the server room (I'm IT) to chill them out and feed them a little then called these folks to come get em in the morning and started it over again. What a mix and match litter of kitties. Some about 3 months old and some a little old maybe 5 or more. All different colors. Some were aggressive and some were just petrified. The lttlest one was of course the most aggressive of all and bit me twice..... little bugger.
I think I got them all and have been told by the helpful people who came abd got them, that most of the kitties have been placed in foster care and came right along after being brought in from the cold by my trapping efforts. Hopefully it won't rinse and repeat next season. The lady that I talked to in the trailer court said they were her kittles and she would catch em and give em away 2 months prior to my trapping efforts. She said this through a gravel rasp and a cigarette perched lip. Extreme Alcoholism is not pretty folks.
It is pretty amazing how these rescue folks give of there time to help out these unfortunate kitties. Bravo.
I thought of adopting one but our cat at home is kind of aggressive towards other cats and I didn't see it viable at this time. They were al cute though.
Just thought I would share.
