When does Florida (and most states) have spring break?

A friend and her family with young kids are planning a Florida trip this spring, to go to Disney world. We went last year during our Michigan spring break, and it turned out Florida and many states were done with theirs already. This made for a much nicer trip that wasn't nearly as busy and crouded as it would have been had it been during Florida's spring break.

Now we're wondering if any of you know when Florida and near-by states have their breaks, so that my friend can know whether this would be a good time or not..... April 3-7 is our break, West Michigan. I know that Detroit (East) is on a different schedule, and all this makes it difficult to plan.

I grew up in FL, and we usually had our spring break in March...but different areas of FL may be different. Maybe try searching for the webpage of an Orlando elementary school and take a look at the academic calendar. Or you could go to UCF's webpage to figure out when their break is--they're a major college in the area.

mid March is usually when we have ours, for one week.

Ours will be the first week of April 06. Each county is different. I do know that they are spread out from mid March to Mid April. I hope that helps

There is no hard and fast rule. In my area, University of South Florida has their Spring Break from March 13 - 18. The school district I work for is March 20 - 24. The district where I actually live is April 10 - 16.

Even when Easter's really late, like it has been the past few years? Ours switched to March when Easter started coming so late that it was less than a month away from the end of school.
