Big Bowie fan here. I had such a crush on him for his funky eyes. I love his albums, but his videos are some of the best. Especially Ashes to Ashes and Fashion and Blue Jean.

He has a great video compilation out called The Best of Bowie. I transfered it to my PSP with a program I found at psptransfer.com and now I play it EVERY day on the train. I can't get tired of it. Also check out Velvet Goldmine--a fictional movie based on his life and music.

Let's sway
while color lights up your face
Let's sway
sway through the crowd to an empty space

If you say run, I'll run with you
If you say hide, we'll hide
Because my love for you
Would break my heart in two
If you should fall
Into my arms
And tremble like a flower

Let's dance for fear
your grace should fall
Let's dance for fear tonight is all

Let's sway you could look into my eyes
Let's sway under the moonlight,
this serious moonlight

If you say run, I'll run with you
If you say hide, we'll hide
Because my love for you
Would break my heart in two
If you should fall
Into my arms
And tremble like a flower

....I´m not a super fan, but I like his music!

It was a truly amazing show, from beginning to end! The ONLY thing that disappointed me was the fans. NIN fans can be so elitist.
The place was packed for NIN, but maybe 1/2 full for Prick and 3/4 full when Bowie started and maybe 1/2 full when he finished. Those other people really, REALLY missed out!

david bowie is awesome.

actually one of the many reasons why me and my boyfriend got together, that and our pink floyd obsession... hehe.
we are both big fans. we went to go see him for the reality tour in miami in 04 but the concert was cut short after the opening band, because a stage crew fell to his death before bowie came out. so needless to say we didn't get to see him. but when he went to virginia he got to see bowie and sent me a voice mail of "under pressure". it was my fav line.

"Turned away from it all, like a blind man, sat on a fence but it don't work.
Keep coming up with love but it's so slashed and torn."

anyways his old stuff was what I was mainly into for awhile. "all the glam bowie" or via "ziggy" my boyfriend was mainly into modern bowie "hours" "heathen" "earthling" and so on. his new stuff is actually quite amazing as well.

his eyes look different because he was in a fight in gradeschool, some guy stabbed his eye and the pupil never went normal or whatever. the fight was over a girl. hehe.
and he was friends with peter frampton in school. what a cool combination..

I loved it when they danced to Golden years in A Knight's tale, and I loved him in Labyrinth too! I do like his music, I remember the "Let's dance" video on MTV too!

One of my earliest memories of Bowie is a duet with Bing Crosby on a Christmas special. They sang "Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth", and it still gives me shivers to this day when I hear it. Definately one of my favorite Christmas songs!

I also remember the video for "China Girl"....it used to drive me nuts because it was played so much, but now it's a favorite.

Labyrinth is fantastic. He played such a creepy/strangely sexy character! When I started collecting dvd's, it was one of my first!

I agree, and it was one of mine too. Something you may not want to know, my whole family grew up watching that movie, and now when my younger cousin imitates him, she wears tight pants with oranges stuck down the front....
