Hi all!

I was wondering if anyone has anytips on cleaning a plastic food storage container.

Sakura quit eating her old food so i switched her over to a new one that she seems to enjoy so far. Im trying to clean out my storage container but it still smells like the old food. I tried cleaning out with dish soap today (didnt work) and tomarrow im trying water and a little bit a vineger. Does anyone else have any recomendations to get rid of the smell? I dont want her to stop eating this food too.

Thanx

Hmmm, I'd think the vinegar would work but if not, maybe let some baking soda and water sit in it for a bit since baking soda works for fridge/freezer and litter box odors, maybe it'll work for the food container....

Baking soda here too...seems to work pretty good. I make a paste and runb it into the container and let it soak awhiel then just rinse till it is clean out.

Well the vineger and water worked well on the plastic but the rubber seal around the lid still sticks...i think it smells worse even. Its a blend of old cat food, a new car tire and vineger all in one smell. Ewww. Tomarrow ill try baking soda on the rubber ring.

i can live with the rubber smell but the old cat food smell is nasty

Try setting it out in the fresh air or the sun for most of a day.
