my cat is afraid to jump on my bed how can i help him????????

i got my cat tequilla two weeks ago and he is 9 or 10 weeks old and he is now sleeping in my bedroom with me and my bed is 2 to 3 feet off the ground but he could easily jump on it but he will not i dont know why help would be awesome

When i first had Niko he was 2 years old and would'nt come on the bed. He was afraid of the lump under the covers. It took several months to persuade him it was okay.

Try dragging a bit if string up onto your bed and see if your kitty will follow it. Also try putting your kittie on the bed and playing with her or feed her treats, so she gets to know that its a good thing to be on the bed.

Be patient with her, it may take time, and try not to startle her when she is on the bed. I'm sure she will soon be curling up next to you at night time.

Put a little step stool or short chair at the end of the bed until kitty gets used to the idea of being up on your bed.
